Chapter 38

Aleem POV

I ran with Darius and Brooklyn to the elevator door and managed to force it open. "Kenji, come on!" yelled Darius so Kenji would hurry into the elevator. "What!" Kenji said as he ran and grabbed a marble sculpture. The Monolophosaurus bursts through the barricade as Kenji runs towards us with his hands full. We all screamed and jumped onto the cable of the elevator, as the doors slam shut on the Monolophosaurus.

Y/n POV

We quietly made our way through the ventilation system as Sammy whispers, "We have to go back for them." Yasmina instead said, "They're safer in the penthouse. We'll meet back up with them after we hit the garage." A screeching is hear as we are all put on alert. "Let's keep moving" said Sammy but then she screams and backs up into as as a Monolophosaurus goes after her. How did it get into the vents!? "BACK! GO BACK" yelled Sammy as we all crawled as quickly as we could, thankfully the Monolophosaurus was stumbling around due to not fitting. We crawled but Yasmina stopped as another Monolophosaurus was in front of us keeping us trapped. I looked around trying to find a way out of this, I pushed a grate and fell down landing onto hard carpet.

"Y/n!" yelled Ben as I was out of breath due to the fall. Everyone else jumped after me and landed better then I did. Sammy and Yasmina ran away as Ben actually helped me up, my legs hurt but I can't stop running for the sake of my life. I had to shift my weight onto Ben but we reach the garage as Yasmina slams the doors open. Ben looked around and said "Limos on a jungle island. That's practical". We start looking around for something useful. Sammy opens a locker and Yasmina pulls something out from it. "Sealant! We could use this to patch the yacht!" she said as Ben spoke after, "Now, all we need is gas."

Aleem POV

My hands burn as I slid down the cable slowly. I looked up and saw Kenji going at a snails pace because of that marble sculpture. "Kenji hurry up!" I yelled as I saw Darius and Brooklyn were lower. "Just let go of the sculpture!" yelled Brooklyn but Kenji snapped back, "No way! Think of Dad!" We all went silent as we heard noise from the Monolophosaurus. "Where are they coming from?" asked Brooklyn as she looked around. A vent bursts open as a Monolophosaurus tries to bite Kenji's legs. Another Monolophosaurus appears and bites where Brooklyn was causing her to fall. She screams as she barely grabs the cable again and slides harshly onto the top of the elevator.

"Brooklyn!" yelled Darius as he looked down. I was hugging the cable tightly because I didn't want to fall onto them. The Monolophosaurus starts going after Darius as he starts climbing up the cable causing me to climb up as well so he can escape it. My sweaty palms aren't helping as it jumps onto the cable and causes it to shake. Kenji is barely holding on with his legs as Darius slips and grabs onto a ledge and jumps to another one as the Monolophosaurus jumps after him. It misses as falls where Brooklyn is at, Darius couldn't hold up anymore and fell onto the Monolophosaurus, from where I was i could see it moving towards them.

My hands finally caved and I fell onto the Monolophosaurus, it shakes me off and tries to pounce on me. Darius and Brooklyn are desperately trying to open the door when suddenly is crashing is heard. I look and saw the Monolophosaurus unconscious surrounded by marble shards. Kenji finishes sliding down as he looks at the sculpture. We didn't get much time since the Monolophosaurus roared, Kenji smashes the remaining of the sculpture onto it, as Darius and Brooklyn force the door open. We get through as the door closes on it.

Y/n POV

I watched as Ben siphons gas from the limousines. I see Yasmina try to talk to Sammy, who looks pensive. "Is something bothering you?" asked Yasmina and Ben says, "Dinosaurs in the building isn't enough?" She looks back and speaks loudly, "Private conversation, Ben." I just look away and tone them out as I looked at my bruised leg. I glance at Ben and my leg thinking about what I heard him say. "Ben... Why did you have to say we've gone soft... do you just want use to be wild people surviving in the jungle?" I asked. But before he could register what I said, a screech is heard startling us. Two Monolophosaurus fall from a vent as we enter a limo before they see us.

The Monolophosaurus walks around the limo as Yasmina says "Let's get out of here!" I frowned as I watched the Monolophosaurus and said, "How didn't you see us take all the gas from them!" Sammy pointed a one and said, "Not that one." We open the door and enter another limousine trying to get to the one with gas which was the farthest away from us. We keep on doing this but Yasmina closing the door loudly keeps causing them to screech, knowing that something is there. They start walking around the limo, and we timed it and started to run towards the final one. Yasmina enters the front as the rest enter the back and slam the door before it gets in.

A Monolophosaurus cracks the windshield as Yasmina starts the limo and drives us out of the garage. When we finally get out I see Aleem, Darius, Brooklyn and Kenji running away from other Monolophosaurus as Yasmina beeps at them. When we are near them we open the door and reach out our hands dragging them inside. The Monolophosaurus were close to entering but Bumpy rams into them. Ben opened the sunroof and tells Bumpy, "Let's hit it, Bumpy." She starts to run after us but thankfully the Monolophosaurus don't follow us to the yacht.

~Time Skip~

"So, how are we gonna fix this thing?" asked Darius looking at the yacht. "Well we found sealant that should hopefully work" I said. We all start talking about what we will do the the yacht. I just hope we'll have an easier time, but I know for sure that getting of this island won't be easy.
