Chapter 28

Y/n POV

We could hear the baryonyx snarling and screeching as they were getting near us. Bumpy grunted and Ben tried to shush her and I tried to comfort her so the baryonyx don't hear her. I see Kenji run to some doors and he tries open them. Then the door opens as she passed some kind of scanner. Kenji gasps and asks her "H-How did you..." She pulls out a key card from her pockets and says quietly "The key card I found in Wu's lab." Everyone started going inside and I coached Bumpy inside the building while Ben whispered yelled to Bumpy "Go. Go Go." Inside the garage is dark once the door closes. Brooklyn tries to look around and she asks herself "Why would birthday guy have a key to this place?" She continues talking to herself "Unless it's a master key. It could open something in Wu's lab. It could open everything!"

I could barely see Brooklyn go to a door which appears to have a scanner. Kenji then says "Here we go again" but Hap says "Quiet. She's the only one of you that has any sense at all." to him. I frown at this comment but then screeches are heard. "If I'm right, it should open this door, too." The scanner beeps and goes form red to green, that must mean that it worked. Suddenly the garage doors start to slide open once Brooklyn scanned the card. Bumpy starts getting agitated and I almost fall off of her, and Ben gets ready to fight. "Brooklyn!" screamed Kenji and Hap yelled "Shut the door!" She tried to scan the card again but it stayed green, "Scanning the card won't do anything!" yelled Aleem. Screeches are heard as Ben asks "How do we get out of here?" "There!" Hap yells gesturing to what appear to be some kind of motorbike with a sidecar.

Brooklyn runs towards it as she grabs a helmet, once she get onto it she puts on the helmet. "We'd need some kind of distraction" said Brooklyn, the screeches could be heard getting closer. I look at Ben once I see him looking at some containers and he lights up the electricity rod. Kenji, Aleem, Brooklyn and Hap go onto the motorbike and Ben and me go on Bumpy. As Brooklyn starts the motorcycle to go Ben ignites one of the containers it explodes causing the other ones to explode as we escape the garage. When we escaped the garage is saw Kenji hugging Brooklyn and Aleem trying his best to hold onto the motorbike with one hand because he is now holding on to the rod and Hap in the sidecar. I look behind me and see Ben looking smug as he applies hand sanitizer to his hands.

The baryonyx fall to the ground as we run/drive away from them. Though this doesn't last long as they get back up again and starts chasing us. "We'll draw a couple this way" yelled Ben to everyone that was on the motorbike. He looks at me and I nod as I lead Bumpy into another direction. But as I do I see Aleems face and it's full of fear as he sees me go away in another direction with Ben and Bumpy.

Aleem POV

No I can't let my sister put herself in danger, I don't want to lose her again. "No good. We've still got all three" said Hap. I can't really sigh of relief because my sister isn't in danger but we still are. "Remember the good old days when we'd only tick off one dinosaur at a time!?" asked Kenji loudly as he looked over my shoulder to see the baryonyx. I look up ahead and see Brooklyn headed to tall grass. "We'll lose them in the tall grass!" yelled Brooklyn to us. We pass the tall grass and it was just a small section of tall grass. "Any other ideas?" I asked Brooklyn as I looked back at the baryonyx. The baryonyx just run pass the tall grass, Brooklyn and Kenji and I scream as they continue chasing us. I look ahead ans see a bunch of rocks in the way, Kenji also looks and yells out "Look out!" Brooklyn barely manages to weave through as the sidecar scrapes a rock.

Brooklyn continues to weave through the rock and she starts trying to stop. "That's the clutch! Brake with your foot! Foot!" yelled Hap and Brooklyn used the brake to do a tight turn. She continues dodging and Hap yells "Right! Watch out!" Then the baryonyx started doing parkour on the rocks. "They can't do that. How'd they learn to do that?" asked Kenji afraid. "I'm afraid they can jump" I said, my voice shaky. One baryonyx got too close and Hap managed to kick it in the face. Brooklyn looks back and starts speading up. Kenji starts hugging Brooklyn tighter and then we hear Hap yell "Untie me! I can help!" Brooklyn looks at him, looks ahead then looks at me since Kenji won't reach Hap. "Do it, Aleem" she said. I guess this will help, I start reaching for the vines but Brooklyn swivels to avoid a baryonyx,

But I manage to untie him and he takes the rod out of my other hand and says "Try and keep it steady." He stands up and shocks one of the baryonyx. Hap shocks and kicks the two baryonyx that are still chasing us as Brooklyn avoid the rocks. "This thing isn't fast enough! No way we're gonna make it!" yelled Brooklyn. I see Hap look back and then he says "Not all of us." He can't be serious!? "You kids... live a good, long life!" he yells as he uses the rod to try and disconnect the sidecar from the motorbike. "Hap? Hap!" yelled Brooklyn once he disconnected the sidecar. The sidecar tumbles as he jumps out and screams "Come on!" to the baryonyx. Brooklyn speeds away before we could see what happens to him. "Hap, he..." Kenji couldn't finish his sentence. "He took care of us..." said Brooklyn but she couldn't finish either. So I finished it by says "Just like he said he would." (F for Hap)

~Time Skip~

We managed to get back to the jungle and we almost ran someone over as they screamed. Brooklyn turns to hard and both Kenji and me fall of the motorbike. "Yaz?" asked Kenji as he got up. Brooklyn got to Yasmina and said "We've got big news!" "You're not gonna---" Kenji got cut of by Yasmina. "Tiff and Mitch have them. Darius is leading them to the watering hole so they can kill the dinosaurs there." I starts shaking my head at that information, no they can't kill them. "Darius would never do that" said Kenji. Yasmina gasps as she opens up a crumbles paper which is revealed to be a map and it's marked. "You're right, he's leading them here" said Yasmina as he points at the X on the map. My eyes widen once I realize where on the map Darius is leading Tiff and Mitch to.
