Chapter 39

Y/n POV

I watched Darius, Brooklyn and Yasmina patch the yacht with the sealant and a piece of plastic. "It ain't pretty but it should be watertight" said Brooklyn while Darius used the sealant. They back off and we hold our breaths hoping it doesn't fall off. We sigh with relief when it holds, "Dope, let's leave already!" said Kenji. "Oh, my gosh, I can't believe it's really happening!" said Sammy, "Buh-bye, Isla Nublar!" said Brooklyn, "We are out of here!" yelled Yasmina. But Darius was looking at the sealant and said, "Wait, hold up guys. It says here we have to wait 48 hours for it to set." Groans and complains, what a bummer.

"They have to say that for insurance and junk. As your captain I pronounce this vessel seaworth--" Kenji stops talking when the patchwork falls after he gave it a good hit. Slight disappointment with the group, "Um, I've got some captainy stuff to do over there. Carry on." Kenji said as he hands the fallen patch to Darius. Darius sighs as he leaves and says, "One more time." Brooklyn holds the patch as Sammy approaches her and asks, "Hey, can I talk to you a sec?" Brooklyn replies, "Kind of busy right now, but--" she gets cut of as Sammy says, "I need your help with something personal." Brooklyn turns around and lets go of the patch, "Spill everything!" she exclaimed. The patch falls onto the ground as they both leave, leaving Darius silently gestures at the fallen patch annoyed.

I stiffened a silent chuckle and went to help him re-re-patch the yacht. I grabbed the patch as he reapplied the sealant and finally it didn't fall. I saw Brooklyn and Sammy leaving in a gyrosphere, I wonder where they are going? The I saw some compies steal the compass and Kenji, Darius and Yasmina begin to chase after it. I just frown and look around to see if there's anyone else here. I walked into the yacht and saw Aleem looking and boxes and a cooler. He frowns as he stands up, taking  can of something from the cooler. "Somethings up Aleem?"I asked as he turns to me. "Should have known Tiff and Mitch wouldn't have any teen friendly drinks in their yacht" Aleem mumbled as he rolled his eyes.

I giggles, "Well you definitely look old enough for it." He cringes and hides his face behind his hands, "I should have looked for a shave at that penthouse then you wouldn't be teasing me!" he exclaimed. I stop laughing and say, "Come on don't be so harsh, I think it looks good on you." He sighs and looks around, "Sound way to quiet. Where did everyone go?" I looked around and answered, "Darius, Kenji and Yasmina ran after some compies, Sammy and Brooklyn are looking for something, and Ben.... That's strange I haven't seen him today." Aleem walks off the yacht, "Ben? You haven't seen him? That's strange considering your status with him." I followed him and frown slightly, "Yeah, he's been distant lately after find out we're leaving the island." Aleem turns to me looking slightly offended, "Don't tell me he doesn't want to leave!"

I looked away, "When you guys were looking for the hang glider--" he cut me off as he said, "Don't remind me of what happened that day." I clean my throat, "Anyway, Ben was worried about leaving Bumpy. He tried hiding it but I saw he was sad in a way." "That's understandable but he needs to understand Bumpy's a wild animal, a dinosaur no less. She'll be fine, she can survive" Aleem stated. I sighed, "I know but I don't think he took what I told him... I heard what he said at the penthouse." Aleem groans, "You did? I really wished you hadn't. I just hope, honestly hope he doesn't do anything rash because he doesn't watch to leave this.... curse island."

"Cursed? It's not cursed Aleem" I stated, he sighs, "I know just trying to get straight to the point. Anyway want to look for better hydration?" Smiling I replied, "Sure it's been a while since it's just been us siblings. We need our alone time to strengthen out bond." Aleem raised his eyebrow, "Better then romance?" I chuckled, "I won't answer that question. Come on their should hopefully be some freezers that are hopefully still cold." Aleem takes out a map and says, "Maybe at the innovation center?" I shake my head, "Haven't we already scavenged that area?" Aleem shrugs, "We'll have better luck there then anywhere else on this island." I sigh, "I suppose you're right. Let's get going before the others return thirsty." We start jogging into the direction of the innovation center, smiling and laughing being able to spend some time together.

3rd POV

Just after Y/n and Aleem left to look for drinks, Ben appears out of the jungle with Bumpy following him. He frowns noticing that everyone had left the yacht, he had a second encounter with Darius, Kenji and Yasmina but they were running while they yelled that they left him in charge. But where had he gone without telling Y/n?

Y/n POV

We both panted and laughed after trying to outrun each other, it really felt great reviving our sibling bond. We looked around at the different building, when suddenly Aleem started to push me into a building with clothing merchandise. "Hey! I thought we were looking for drinks?" I laughed while he answered, "We need you to get a shirt so I can get back my shirt, because there is no way I'm letting you just wear your bra." I begin walking and looking around, "Fine but it better not have holes from the dinosaurs." We looked around and I looked at a wall with a giant hole in it. "What do you believe happened here?" asked Aleem, I tilted my head and thought about it, "Maybe the Indo did this or Rex but seems more like the Indominus Rex would do with it's claws."

Aleem looked at the rubble and the claw marks on the floor, "Definitely the Indominus Rex." I scoffed, "A dinosaur that never actually existed, why did they ever create such a thing?" Aleem hummed in thought, "Hybrids are always fun to think about, especially with creatures which seem like a fantasy." I shook my head, "Well it was a terrible idea. I just hope they don't make more just for money, because that the only reason I can't think about it." I grabbed a grey shirt with baby blue accents, the front had the 'Jurassic World' logo and a velociraptor shadow.
