SUMMARY: There are changes afoot in the Villa. Where is Noah?

✤✤✤

Iain Stirling:

Previously on Love Island...

Some of our Islanders settled into their cosy couples...

While others decided to stir the pot!

It's just another quiet day in the Villa...

Kitchen

Gary and Lucas are in the kitchen, trying to figure out a bright orange appliance. It looks like a smoothie maker. There's an instruction booklet, but they're not reading it.

"No, look, mate, if the blades are on the bottom—" Gary was trying to be patient as he attempted to explain how a smoothie maker operates.

Lucas interrupts with, "Wait, I think this part goes here," and Gary tries really hard not to shake his head in shock. Gary murmured under his breath, "No, it's not flush with the base." He knows Lucas is only trying to be helpful, and he is sure he is really good with his hand, as a physiotherapist, but it was obvious he had never fixed a small kitchen appliance before. The crane operator heaved a heavy sigh. He promised Grace that he would make an effort to involve Lucas in activities often reserved for 'the lads.' She brought to his attention the possibility that Lucas, now that Henrik was gone, might be experiencing some feelings of loneliness. He had experienced exclusion and loneliness far too often in his younger years. When he was fifteen, his life changed. One summer afternoon, everything seemed to shift, and then the same night, he met his new neighbour, Dickie. They've been best mates ever since.

"Hold the top. I'll open it this way," Lucas instructed. Gary tried not to roll his eyes when she said that Lucas and he were similar in some ways. When he asked her to elaborate, she informed him, "What would be the fun in telling you that?" When he called out to her as she was walking away, "How was she going to show her gratitude?", she just gave him a cheeky wink.

Iain Stirling:

The excitement and drama of the Villa is in high gear!

"Hey!" Lucas smiled at you. "I'm confused... What do I compliment first? You, or that stunning outfit?"

Gary holds back an eye roll and continues examining the machine. You flashed him a smile, saying, "Thanks, Lucas!"

Lucas cast a quick glance below at all of the components. "Um, do you know anything about machines? Being a farm girl and all."

Gary looked annoyed and huffed as he spoke, "I know about machines! Just let me do it!"

"I didn't even want a smoothie that much." Lucas mumbles.

Gary and Lucas are having trouble with the smoothie maker. "Wow, that simple device looks really complicated," you said, teasing the boys.

They both looked up and frowned. Gary rolled his eyes and argued that the problem was "It's these cheap parts! The assembly isn't flush with the base."

When asked, Lucas pointed to the base and asked, "Does this bit go here?"

You spot the manual lying on the counter near the open box. "Are those the instructions?" You smiled. Offer some advice. "I could read them out to you."

Gary huffed, "Don't be ridiculous. I've got it." He has always been interested in machines, mechanics, and how things work, and is very confident in his ability to fix things, so he's never really bothered reading an instruction manual.
