This... this is the mother of all twists.
"You're finally back."
"So, you're really leaving again?"
"I'm... I'm sorry pero aalis na ako."
I don't think I can handle the situation. I'm too flabbergasted to even think and act properly.
"Pa... pakisabi na lang kay..."
I swallowed hard.
I glanced at him whose brows were furrowed.
"You probably knew he was meeting me beforehand. Ako 'tong hindi inaasahan ang lahat-"
"Of course, we'll meet. There's no way I'll let you slip through my fingers again."
My mouth and throat went dry.
"Ano?"
Rio stepped closer to me. I stepped backward while meeting his demanding gaze.
"Really, Christina? This is how you greet your boyfriend?"
My jaw... it dropped down to the core of this planet.
"A-Ano bang-ex, Rio!"
His face went grim.
"We never broke up. It was never your call. How dare you call me an ex?"
I can't believe what I'm hearing from him!
"Hindi na tayo nagkausap. Ano pa bang ibig-sabihin no'n?"
"That's because you cut me off. I spent hopeless months trying to contact you-"
Ilang linggo ba? Dalawa? Tatlo? Hindi siya tumawag!
"I was mad that you didn't like me and our relationship enough. In case you don't remember, you insulted me for being 'too' serious in our relationship. How do you expect me to react?"
