Chapter II: Mothers Don't Always Know Best
By TinaCatesLocation: Manila, Philippines
Age: 21 Sex: FThe hardest part of working in customer service is being compelled to plaster the sweetest smile on your face regardless how ill-bred customers are. Who even invented the "Customers are always right?" principle? Just when I thought I would have a great day ahead after having a sumptuous meal with a nice cup of coffee, an insolent customer in her 50s just shoved her nasty feet to my face when she didn't like the shoe I helped her wear.
She even called me uncultured, and when I talked back, she questioned the parenting method I was raised with. How would I know? My father was always at work. My mother left us when I was 9. I technically raised myself. I am my own parent.

"Read the other comments, too."
Nagpatuloy ako sa pagbabasa ng mga komento habang marahang hinipan ni Rio ang sugatang noo.
"How did you hurt yourself again? Magaling na dapat ito," sermon niya habang dinidikit ant band aid.
"Nasuklay ko lang," I simply answered him. He tsk-ed while my eyes remained on the screen.
