As Beomgyu slowly regained consciousness, the first image that greeted his eyes was Yeonjun's face. Blinking his eyes open, he tried to process the surreal sight before him. It was both startling and oddly comforting to find Yeonjun's concerned expression so close. The pain, while not excruciating, made him acutely aware of his discomfort.

With each blink, Beomgyu's vision cleared, and he found himself once again locking eyes with Yeonjun. Relief washed over him as he absorbed the fact that he was indeed alive and in Yeonjun's presence. However, a question formed in his mind, tugging at his senses. Why was Yeonjun's face positioned so near to his own? And why did Yeonjun appear to be harboring such intense anger?

"Did anyone ever tell you that you're a useless fungal infection?" Yeonjun's words cut through the air, catching Beomgyu off guard. As Yeonjun's face moved slightly away, Beomgyu's senses began to return, and he took in his surroundings. He was at home, and bandaged. Questions flooded his mind, a rush of confusion intertwining with his consciousness. Mission.

Struggling to find his voice, Beomgyu managed to croak out a question that had been nagging at him, "What... about the mission?" His words trembled, carrying the weight of uncertainty and concern. Yeonjun's sighed , and his response held a mixture of frustration and reassurance, "Don't worry about it, we didn't fail." Yeonjun's tone seemed almost explosive, a blend of relief and lingering tension. Beomgyu was amused by this reaction. Did no one tell yeonjun that he was so bad at acting? It was clear he was worried for him.

Beomgyu's nod was accompanied by a faint request, "Could you... help me get up?" He couldn't help but seize the moment, knowing that Yeonjun's demeanor had softened somewhat. Yeonjun's response was a simple, neutral nod. He carefully positioned himself, sliding one arm beneath Beomgyu and reaching across to support the other side. The brush of their skin against each other sent a shiver down Yeonjun's spine, a sensation that Beomgyu was keen enough to notice.

As Beomgyu settled into a more comfortable position, a familiar sensation tugged at his stomach—hunger. "Ohhh... I'm hungry," he announced, seizing the moment as an opportunity to enlist Yeonjun's care. A sigh escaped Yeonjun's lips, carrying with it a subtle shift in tone. There was something different this time, a willingness to fulfill Beomgyu's request, at least to some extent. "What do you want to eat?" Yeonjun inquired, his words carrying a hint of genuine concern. Beomgyu's eyes brightened, realizing that he had succeeded in capturing Yeonjun's attention. "How about some oven-baked dumplings?" he suggested with a hopeful smile.

"Okay, but I've never baked dumplings in the oven before," Yeonjun admitted as he walked over to the refrigerator and retrieved a pack of frozen dumplings. Beomgyu couldn't help but chuckle, a delightful sound that filled the air. "I'm not surprised," he quipped, amusement dancing in his eyes.

Yeonjun made his way to the kitchen, carefully placing the dumplings in the oven. He was still mad at beomgyu though. It gave soobin and kai a chance to criticize him. As he returned, a more serious expression settled on his face. "Were you in your right mind when you stepped in front of me?" Yeonjun's question hung in the air, laden with genuine concern. He continued, his voice tinged with a touch of gravity, "What if the bullets had hit your chest or head instead of your stomach and leg?"

"You mean I should have let him shoot you?" Beomgyu's voice held a mixture of incredulity and frustration, his eyebrows furrowing as he confronted yeonjun.

"Yes," he finally uttered, his response hung in the air after a drawn-out pause, heavy with Anger.

"They would have survived without me, but if something had happened to you, it was over, Yeonjun." Beomgyu's next words struck a chord, the truth in them resonating deeply within Yeonjun.
