"Why isn't he picking up his calls?" Beomgyu hissed softly, his irritation growing as Kai remained unresponsive. He then gazed at the nearly passed-out, inebriated Soobin and Yeonjun, pondering, "How am I going to deal with them?"
Despite being gentle, Beomgyu successfully placed Soobin and Yeonjun on Soobin's bed, making a conscious effort not to dwell on how they were wrapped around each other in an almost comical manner. He reassured himself that jealousy was not his sentiment, merely amusement.
"Beomgyu-ah, when did you become so big?" Yeonjun mumbled with closed eyes as he inadvertently touched Soobin's body. Beomgyu couldn't help but chuckle softly, seeing that Soobin was fast asleep, completely unaware of his enemy cuddling with him.
Beomgyu dialed Kai's number once more, but there was still no answer. Frustrated, he attempted to call Taehyun, only to be met with the same lack of response. Contemplating his options, he couldn't help but wonder if he should visit taehyun.

Kai sat uneasily on the sofa, feeling somewhat out of place as he waited for Taehyun to return from the lab's kitchen. When Taehyun finally appeared, he held a cup of warm water, which he handed to Kai. It was evident that Kai had grown noticeably colder in the presence of Taehyun's touch. He seemed not just uncomfortable but also genuinely fearful.
"Drink it," Taehyun commanded, and Kai obediently downed the entire cup in one gulp. He coughed slightly afterward, avoiding eye contact with Taehyun. Taehyun let out a sigh and took a seat beside him.
"Are you regretting it?" Taehyun inquired, his tone filled with a mix of concern and frustration. Kai, looking startled, stammered, "Huh?"
Taehyun clenched his fists, repeating his question, "Are you regretting it?" Kai, deep in denial, responded defensively, "It was just... a kiss... several kisses... it was a mistake."
Taehyun closed his eyes, feeling a pang of disappointment, knowing that he couldn't have expected any other response from Kai.
"Was what we were doing for the past half an hour... a mistake to you?" Taehyun asked, making an effort to keep his words gentle. However, Kai continued to deny everything, insisting, "No... I... I can't cheat on Soobin."
Taehyun snapped, still maintaining a gentle tone, "But you just cheated on him right now... with me."
Just as the tension between them escalated, the unexpected occurred. Beomgyu stood right at the entrance door, his jaw nearly hitting the floor as his wide-eyed gaze registered the shocking scene before him.
"Beom...gyu," Kai muttered, rising from his seat hesitantly, with Taehyun following suit. "You?" Taehyun questioned Beomgyu, avoiding direct eye contact as he felt the weight of the situation.
Beomgyu took a few steps closer, his disbelief evident in his eyes. "No, it's not like... I was," Kai began to explain, but Beomgyu swiftly cut him off. "You were what? Having a kissing session for the past hour? Do you even know how many times I called you?" His voice grew louder, though not excessively so.
Kai attempted to respond with "I..." before Beomgyu continued, "Soobin was so drunk that my lungs nearly gave up carrying him to his bed." Kai's expression immediately shifted to one of concern as he inquired, "He drank? Why?"
Beomgyu's gaze shifted to Taehyun, and he retorted, "Why do you even care?"
Kai hesitated, casting a wary glance toward Taehyun, then turned to Beomgyu and suggested, "Let's go home first, and then we'll talk." As he began to step forward, Taehyun reached out, firmly gripping his arm, and insisted, "You can't leave without talking to me, Kai."
Beomgyu let out an exasperated sigh and declared, "You know what, Kai? You can stay here." Kai attempted to protest with a "No, I..." but Beomgyu had already turned away, heading for the exit, while Taehyun continued to hold onto Kai, making it clear that he wasn't allowed to leave without having a conversation.
"Let me go, Taehyun," Kai implored, attempting to free himself, but Taehyun's grip remained firm. Beomgyu had already departed, leaving Kai with a sigh of resignation, and he sank onto the sofa with a defeated expression.
Taehyun settled down beside Kai, who looked at him with a worried expression. "Didn't you hear him? Soobin is drunk," Kai pleaded with Taehyun. In response, Taehyun asked, "If you're that concerned about him, why did you go along with me? Don't you think he'll be upset if he finds out?" Kai closed his eyes tightly and whispered, "I'm such a fool."
"From what I can see, you're definitely not out of your mind... you did it because you wanted to," Taehyun observed. However, Kai, still in denial, shook his head and insisted, "I... I'm very loyal to Soobin."
Taehyun challenged him with a knowing look. "But you don't love him," he stated. Kai hesitated for a moment, then met Taehyun's gaze and said, "I do..."
Taehyun chuckled, his tone carrying a hint of amusement as he remarked, "Oh, you do?"

"He's truly lost it, hasn't he?" Beomgyu muttered under his breath as he entered Soobin's house, his anger at Kai simmering dangerously close to the surface. He was seething, struggling to hold himself back from doing something rash. As he made his way into the room, he found Soobin and Yeonjun sleeping peacefully.
Beomgyu sank into the plush sofa in Soobin's dimly lit room, his thoughts whirling in a vortex of disbelief and tumultuous emotions. The mere reality that Kai, could betray Soobin in such a manner seemed like an unfathomable nightmare. The room itself seemed to close in around him, and he could almost hear the walls echoing with the weight of the revelation.
His mind raced, trying to grasp the enormity of it all. How long had this secret affair been going on? Had Soobin been privy to any of it, or had he been kept in the dark all along? Beomgyu couldn't bear the thought that Soobin, the one they all cared for so deeply, would willingly accept such betrayal. It was impossible.
There was no doubt in Beomgyu's mind that he had to discuss this with Soobin; that much was certain. However, a gnawing fear lingered within him – the fear of how this revelation might affect Soobin.
What if the truth he was about to reveal shattered the trust and love they had so carefully built? The mere contemplation of Soobin's pain made Beomgyu's heart clench, a heavy burden that pressed upon him.
Author's note: It was very short right? it was a filler but needed chapter. There'll be total 31 or 32 chapters of this book including an epilogue i suppose. and the upcoming chapters will be very long and fast.
