Y/n

I raced down the dimly lit corridor towards the cells where we were kept, only to be blocked by HYDRA agents.

"You've got to be damn kidding me," I growled, baring my teeth and lunging at the agents.

I quickly knocked them out, before realising I still had the collar around my neck. I quickly transformed into a human again, before searching the passed out agent for keys. I found one, and put it in the keyhole of the lock. Yes! Thank god it was the correct one. The collar fell from my neck, and I stood up. One of the agents began to wake up, but I kicked his head hard enough so he passed out again. I ran to the cells. They were all still occupied.

"Y/n?" Aliana's voice asked from one of the cells.

I followed her voice and saw her sat in her cell with an empty plate beside her.

"We need to get out of here," I said, un-sheathing my claws and ripping them through the lock.

Aliana stood up and pulled the bars across.

"Get everyone out of their cells and head to B-11 training room. The window in there's broken," I ordered.

Aliana nodded, saying, "We'll wait for you outside there."

She went to break the other Hybrids free.

"Oh, and if you see two enhanced twins, they're not hostile," I added, beginning to break more Hybrids free.

"Alright," she said.

We quickly managed to bust all the cells. There were 7 of us.  Only one cell remained. Aliana led the others, while I went over to it and crouched down. It was the Elder.

"Elder?" I asked.

"Yes child?" came a weak voice.

"It's me y/n."

"I know. What's happened?"

"We- we're breaking free. Do you want to come?"

I made out the Elder shaking her head.

"I'll slow everyone down. You all deserve freedom."

I nodded. I desperately wanted to free her too because HYDRA was no doubt going to torture her or something. But Elder was wise. She'd lived a long life, and was 82 years of age. She knew what was best for her.

"Before you leave child..." her raspy voice said.

"Yes?"

"I received a prophecy the other day... I couldn't share it with you yet, but now is the time."

I listened intently.

"When blooded moonlight is cast, one shall fall, one shall prevail. Each must follow their own path, until solidarity calls. Only as one, shall the world finally be free."

My heart stopped beating when I heard this. The Elder's voice sounded as if it was echoed by the voices of those long gone. What did the prophecy mean?

"Wh-what?" I stuttered.

"Youngster, I cannot help you much more. My time is short. But you must, must be the one to lead the Hybrids. There are many more out in the world. When the time comes, you must be the one to call them all together," she rasped.

"I..."

"Go child. Quickly!" the Elder's voice became urgent.

I was alarmed. I stood up, saying respectfully, "We will honour you, Elder."

I quickly transformed into a wolf, then raced back towards B-11 - the prophecy playing over and over again in my mind.

When blooded moonlight is cast, one shall fall, one shall prevail. Each must follow their own path, until solidarity calls. Only as one, shall the world finally be free.

I didn't have much of an idea of what it meant, but I would figure it out. I dodged a few agents that attacked me, my black furred paws skidding on the ground as I made a sharp turn into B-11. I leapt up at the window, clawing my way up. I slid out the window and found myself on a ledge. Looking down, I saw bushes. I turned back into a human, and jumped, crossing my arms and turning to my side.

Crash

I landed in the bushes. My arm hurt, as the wound that had just closed was stinging. I stood up and looked around. The other freed Hybrids were stood near. I went over.

"Y/n!" one of them called.

It was the black girl, Kat. You ran over and hugged her tightly.

"I was so worried about you," she murmured.

"I'm fine, what about you?"

"We're all okay," Kat replied.

She had a slight cut on her cheek, but you didn't have anything to clean it with.

"You should get that checked out as soon as you can," I said.

Kat nodded, and we stood in a circle.

"Elder got a prophecy. I don't know what it means, but apparently in the future I will lead you all into battle against... something," I began.

"HYDRA?" Sylvia suggested.

"Maybe, or maybe something more. But we all have to go our own ways until then," I said.

"We have to keep clear of HYDRA," Aliana pointed out.

"Be careful of the world, don't tell anyone our secret. We don't know how they will react, and what they already think of us," I advised. "So, say your goodbyes, then we must leave... separately."

I watched the other 6 say goodbye to each other and leave in their own directions. The next however long was going to be hard. I slipped off into the shadows, leaving the HYDRA base in the distance. Once again, the prophecy played over in my mind.

When blooded moonlight is cast, one shall fall, one shall prevail. Each must follow their own path, until solidarity calls. Only as one, shall the world finally be free.
