As the quinjet flew through the air, Steve ran through the plan with everyone.
"We don't know who or what HYDRA have on their side," he said.
"They could've created the super-hybrid," I put in. "And one of them's probably like 5 of us with added powers."
"And a load of soldiers to protect them," Kat added.
I nodded at her gratefully.
"You can't underestimate HYDRA," I told everyone. "They have too many tricks up their sleeve."
"Alright wolf-kid, can Steve continue his plan?" Tony asked.
I cast him an irritated glance.
"Right, sorry," he broke eye contact with me.
I think Tony's scared of me since I nearly killed him, although he rarely shows it.
"I bet you Sokovian money he is," Wanda murmured in my ear.
I smirked, guessing she read my mind. I turned back to look at Steve.
"Here's the plan," he began. "Natasha, Clint, I want you both on the inside as soon as you can."
He glanced over at Natasha and Clint who nodded. I found Natasha's new look quite startling. She had a dark brown wig, that was styled into long curls, along with some HYDRA suits we'd created. It did not look right. Clint's outfit wasn't as bad. He just wore the HYDRA suit and had dark brown contacts in his eyes.
"Neither of you can take weapons in, or your cover will be blown," Steve warned.
"Don't worry Steve, we know. We've both been on covert missions before," Natasha cut in, seeming like she just wanted him to carry on.
"Right, well. Their base is hidden in the mountain in the middle of Siberia, so it's not that easy to map out where everything is. Clint, you have a mapper in your left pocket. Your job is to walk around as much of the base as you can access. If you find anything interesting, check it out but don't take it. Natasha, you need to find another exit. This is where Sam and Bucky come in," Steve continued, glancing over at them both.
Bucky looked up from putting a sleeve over his metal arm.
"They... won't recognise me, will they?" Bucky asked.
"Not if you keep your head down, they won't," Steve assured.
Bucky nodded, whilst Steve continued explaining. Bucky and Sam were going to free any captives. When Clint had mapped out the facility, me and Kat were going to meet Natasha, Sam and any captives at the exit Nat would find. Me, Kat and any other fighting fit captives would lure HYDRA out of the base. Rhodey, Tony, Wanda, Bruce, Natasha, Peter and Vision would start fighting the soldiers outside. Me, Kat and Steve would find Clint inside the facility and kill any remaining agents. We would locate the rock, take it and get out of the facility.
"What if HYDRA has created this super-hybrid thing?" Peter asked. "Did the prophecy tell you anything about that?"
He directed this question at me.
"We should aim to detain it. This Hybrid might not even want to be with HYDRA, just like none of us did. If we can save them, save them. If not..." I let someone else finish my sentence.
"We kill it," Sam finished.
"Yeah," I looked down.
"What about the other Hybrids?" Bruce asked.
"They'll join us when the time is right," I told him, hoping they would.
"Alright, get ready to land!" Clint called from the cockpit.
There was a frenzy of movement as everyone prepared for this mission. I unsheathed my claws and scraped them against a block of wood Steve had kindly prepared. I sharpened them as best I could, before slashing them through. The claw marks I left were deep. They'd easily ripped through the wood.
"Still as good as ever," Kat commented, shifting the wood block so she could check her claws.
I smiled.
"You're still as loyal as ever," I replied.
"Hey, Y/n, will Ben be alright with...?" Kat asked.
"Pepper?"
"Yeah, her."
"Of course, don't worry."
"Thanks."
I put my hand on her shoulder, patting it quickly before I adjusted my suit slightly. I felt a jolt as Tony landed the jet on the uneven ground of Siberia.
"Nat, Clint!" Steve called them both.
I watched as both trained Avengers went over.
"Good luck," Steve said.
Natasha gently placed a kiss on his cheek, before turning away. She glanced over at me, nodding. I dipped my head back.
"See you later Y/n," Clint said, before he followed Natasha off the jet.
Now we wait.
