The water had gone back to the ocean which meant that Lindsey could finally get off that car.

She had to stop herself from almost passing out as she got use to standing again. Once her vision cleared she started to move. The first couple steps were hard but she eventually found her balance and everything stopped spinning. She took that as a good sign to keep moving.

Now that the water was gone, the streets were full of people. People were trying to find their loved ones, trying to get help, trying to get out of there.

Lindsey did her best to help as many as she could. She wasn't a paramedic. She only knew the basics.

"Help! Somebody help!" She heard a woman yell. Lindsey turned to see a woman in a car. The car was stuck between a building and a big piece of cement.

"Don't worry ma'am, we'll get you out!" Lindsey told her. "Please hurry! My son, he's hurt." The woman pleaded.

"I need people to help me move this!" Lindsey called out, referring to the block of cement. A group of people made their way over and everyone grabbed a side.

"Ready? On three. One, two, three!"

They pushed and pushed but they couldn't get it off. "It's too big. We need more people."

Lindsey went and gathered as many people as she could. "Okay! One, two, three!" They pushed and this time they were able to push away the cement. Lindsey immediately opened the car door and helped the woman out. "My son! Please get my son."

Lindsey pulled on the back door but it was jammed. She moved back towards the drivers door and climbed in. In the back she could see a boy who looked about 4 years old. He was crying and there was blood dripping from his head.

Luckily the buckle wasn't stuck so Lindsey was able to get him out of his seat. Carefully she pulled him out of the car. "Oh Matteo!" The mother said as she scooped her son out of Lindsey's arms.

"Thank you! Thank you!" The woman spoke again. "No problem. It seems that tents are being set up with medical help. You'll want to get him to one of those." Lindsey told her. She then turned to look at the little boy who had stopped crying.

"You're gonna be just fine. You're very brave you know."

The mother smiled at her, "Thank you!" She said again. Lindsey smiled at her and then moved on to help the next person.
