All Fall Down
🚨

Lindsey's morning was quiet.

Buck had left early to go meet Eddie. After discovering that Eddie had been essentially cheating on Marisol, he seemed to make another mistake. Now, he was asking for Buck's help. Lindsey would have gone with him, but she had to admit she was slightly angry at Eddie. Marisol was a kind, caring woman who didn't deserve to be treated this way. She didn't blame Eddie for still grieving Shannon's death, but using another woman as a substitute just because she reminded him of his late wife—it felt like a betrayal, and it was a line Lindsey knew that Eddie should have never crossed.

She understood Eddie's pain. Losing Shannon was devastating. Still, it didn't excuse the hurt he was causing. Lindsey knew that Buck and she would be there for Eddie, no matter what, but for now, Lindsey just needed to let Buck handle it.

So, Lindsey enjoyed the peaceful morning with Adelia. She fed her, letting the baby reach for her bottle while Lindsey caught a few moments of TV, the soft chatter filling the space between them. Afterward, she quickly made herself some oatmeal, her hands moving absentmindedly as she glanced back at Adelia, who had become quite interested in her own feet. It was a small, comforting scene—just her and her little girl, together.

Once breakfast was done, they moved to the balcony, the fresh morning air helping to clear her mind. The sun was still soft, casting long shadows on the ground, and she watched Adelia giggle as she kicked her feet out, fascinated by her socks. It felt good to have this quiet time.

But the peaceful morning didn't last long.

When Lindsey's phone lit up with Bucks contact, she smiled. "Hey babe," she said, answering the phone while watching Adelia's little hands flail as she tried to peel off her socks.

"Linds..."

She knew that tone. She sat up straighter as she asked, "What's wrong?"

She could hear Buck sigh. She could hear the edge of panic in his breath, and it sent a chill through her. "Bobby's in the hospital."

Lindsey's heart skipped a beat. Her body tensed as she felt a wave of shock hit her. Bobby? She could barely process it. As Buck explained what happened, Lindsey's mind raced.

She barely noticed the trembling in her hands as she moved quickly, grabbing the diaper bag and throwing it over her shoulder. Adelia giggled, oblivious to the shift in her mother's demeanor, as Lindsey carefully strapped her into the carrier.

"I'm on my way," she said, already pulling on her shoes. She was going to meet him and the rest of the team at the hospital.

When she stepped through the elevator door she was met with Hen, Chimney, Eddie, and Buck. "How is he?" Was the first thing she asked as she moved towards them with Adelia in her arms.
