"They call it a dry thunderstorm. A high elevation storm. The clouds, in fact, so high that the rain evaporates before it hits the ground. So your eyes and ears do not deceive you, you will see the lightning..."

The pit in her stomachs grew as she watched the news. Lindsey was still feeling uneasy, and not just from the lack of sleep she got. She still felt like something was gonna happen. Any minute, any day.

And she wasn't gonna be able to stop it.

Lindsey's hand stayed connected to Bucks as he pushed open the door to Maddie and Chimneys new house. Bucks parents were right behind them, much to Lindsey's disliking.

Buck was on better terms with his parents. Lindsey was happy that Buck wasn't as nervous as he was before. But there was still a part of Lindsey that couldn't help but feel angry at Bucks parents. One second they're yelling at him, blaming him and the next they're hugging him and saying they love him? Lindsey wasn't a fan of that.

Chimney rounded the corner, a big smile on his face. "Hey, Evan. Philip so good to see you." He said as he hugged Bucks dad.

"Evan?" Buck asked as he turned to Lindsey. She just laughed as Chimney pulled her into a hug. "Make yourselves at home."

Lindsey's eyes drifted around their new house. It was beautiful and the perfect size for their little family. "Maddie should be out any minute. Jee-Yun just woke up, so..."

"I have to say, it has amazing bones." Bucks dad said, gesturing to the house. Still some work to be done but..." Bucks mom trailed off as her eyes drifted to the ceiling.

"So Buck, Lindsey, how was the drive in from the airport?" Buck passed Lindsey a glass of wine as he answered, "Well, Howie, it was great. 405 was wide open."

"We talked about the weather." Lindsey added, an amusing smile on her face.

"Okay, here's your grandma and grandpa." Maddie said as she enter the room, Jee in her arms. It was her first time meeting her grandparents. Though Lindsey wasn't a fan on the two, she couldn't help but smile as she watched Jee interact with them.

"Oh you guys must be starving. Dinners almost ready. And Philip? I saved the best seat in the house for you." Chimney said as he gestured to the head of the table. Philip shook his head, "Oh, i'm fine anywhere."
