Starting Over
🚨

The days following Jonah Greenways arrest were stressful, mainly for the LAFD. Mainly for Bobby. Taylor's story didn't help. Her whole off the record promise was thrown out the window when she decided to go to Jonah's home that night and report the whole thing.

Buck had practically been interrogated by the Chief of the department. He knew that Buck and Taylor use to date and he was trying to find out how Taylor got her information.

Lindsey felt guilty about the whole thing because it was her idea to involve Taylor. And now Bucks getting in trouble for it. She tried to convince him to let her go down and talk to the Chief but Buck didn't listen. He told her that there was no need and that it would all blow over in a couple days.

And it did. After a few days the Chief dropped it. The damage was already done and there was nothing they could do to change it. As for Bobby, he wasn't ready to let the whole thing go. He felt like it was all his fault because he was the one that hired Jonah. He feels that he should have known, that he should have realized what Jonah was doing.

"He said that?" Eddie asked as he applied paint on his walls. Lindsey and Buck had gone over to help repair the holes Eddie put in his walls.

"He did. Well, you know how he is. He takes responsibility for everything. That's his way. Probably why he makes such a good captain." Buck said and Lindsey's brows furrowed, "Taking responsibility for something he didn't do wrong? It's a bad road to go down."

Eddie nodded, "You lose sight of things, of who you are."

Lindsey dipped her brush back into the paint as Buck said, "I just...I wish I could..."

"Fix it?" Lindsey asked and Eddie chucked. Buck turned to meet her eyes, "Yeah, yeah, I know. I'm the guy that always wants to fix everything."

"Hey, comes in handy when you have a bunch of holes in your wall." Eddie said to him. His eyes then moved to the sponge in his hand, "I'm gonna grab a new sponge. Do either of you want anything? Beer? Water?"

Buck shook his head and Lindsey turned to look at Eddie, "I'll have some water, thanks." Eddie nodded before turning to make his way out of the room.

As Lindsey continued to paint the wall she noticed the paint splatters all over her clothes, she let out a groan, "Ugh, I hate painting. It's so messy." Buck laughed as he continued to apply strips to the open holes, "Then why'd you offer to help?"

"Cause I'm a nice friend."

Bucks eyes drifted over to her and then the spot that she was painting. "Can I see that real quick?" He asked gesturing to the paint brush. She nodded and handed it to him. Her gaze fell to her hands that had a mixture of dry and wet paint on them.
