Buck had become a menace.

Not to Lindsey, he was his usual sweet self with her, but with 118 not so much. Due to his blood clots and the medication he is on he was told that he wasn't gonna be able to come back right away.

Which obviously pissed him off.

So he quit and had gotten a new job as a fire marshal. The 118 didn't seem too happy about this. Buck honestly wasn't happy about it either, Lindsey could tell, but he hid how he was feeling behind his oh so famous smirk.

Lindsey just wanted him to be happy, but he clearly wasn't. She knew how badly he wanted to get back to work with his team, even if he never mentioned it. Being a fire marshal wasn't what he was supposed to do. But as of right now there was nothing else he could do.

It was her lunch break. Athena and her stopped at the closets cafe. "So, you and Buck?" Athena asked as they took a seat, waiting for their food. Lindsey looked over to her, "What about us?"

"I never really thought of the two of you together, but now that I'm seeing it, you're a good match."

Lindsey shook her head with a laugh, "Thanks Athena, but uh...we aren't together." Athena gave her an 'are you serious?' look. "Weren't you two living together?" Lindsey sighed, "Only for a couple days. Buck didn't want me staying home alone. Especially not after everything that happened with the Tsunami."

"Ok. So what do you mean you guys aren't together. Bobby said that you two kissed that night. Hen and Chimney even confirmed it." Lindsey turned to look at her, "You've been gossiping about me?" Athena scoffed, "Lindsey!"

"Right, okay. Yes we kissed that night and we've kissed a couple times since then but that's it. We kiss and we act all coupley, but we aren't officially dating. We never actually talked about what we are. I've been wanting to mention it but Buck has just been so focused on getting back to work, that's all that's on his mind." Athena reached over and placed a hand on her shoulder, "Look, Buck isn't necessarily the brightest. But he sure is determined and loyal, and he obviously cares a lot about you. Just talk to him and explain how you are feeling."

Lindsey grabbed Athena's hand that was on her shoulder and gave it a squeeze, "Thanks Athena."
