Performance Anxiety
🚨

"LAFD coming through!"

Lindsey and Athena turned when they saw Bobby and the team enter the building. There had been an accident at a body building competition. The head of the competition was hurt and the crowd is going wild.

"We're still working on crowd control but the stage is safe for you to work." Athena told them. Lindsey took the lead, leading them down stairs and towards the stage. "What's with all the rage?" Bobby asked. "It could be the steroids. But your victims name is Biggs. Former bodybuilder, used to be a legend, apparently." Lindsey told them.

The crowd continued to boo as they made their way onto the stage. "Please help him. His arm blew up, he's bleeding out. We can't stop it." One of the other bodybuilders said.

While Hen and Eddie worked, Lindsey and Athena turned back to crowd control. The fans were trying to get towards the stage so Athena and Lindsey tried to push them back. They yelled at the crowd, telling them to back up but no one listened. The fans continued to push forward to the point where Lindsey was stuck between bodies and the edge of the stage. She held her own pretty well against the crowd but many of them were taller than her and had more of an advantage.

She felt herself get knocked off her feet. Her lower back slammed into the edge of the stage and she felt a sharp pain shooting through her back. "Hey, hey, hey. Easy, easy." She heard a voice say and she looked up to see Buck pushing a few of the fans back. He then looked down at her and extended his hand. "You okay?" He asked as he pulled her onto the stage.

"Yeah, i'm good."

"Hey, we gotta move. A little help?" Bobby asked. Athena got up on the stage as Lindsey grabbed the mic from the announcers hands. "Ladies and gentlemen, I don't know if what this man did is illegal. But I do know this: that pursuant to section 148.2 of California State Penal Code, it is a misdemeanor to willfully obstruct emergency personnel from discharging their official duties."

She then handed the mic to Athena, "Now, let us advise you. Do not obstruct!"

After that the crowd calmed down. They created a path and Lindsey and Athena led the 118 through the crowd and out the building.

"I need your advice."

Lindsey's eyes widened as Eddie pushed his way through the door and into the apartment. "Well hello to you too."

"My Tias been trying to set me up on dates." A smirk formed on Lindsey's face, "Oh really?"

"She tricked me with leaky pipes. Made me go out on a blind date." He told her as he walked into the living room. "And how did it go?" Lindsey asked as she followed him.

"Fine. Mainly because her mother did the same thing to her. We came up with a story to tell and then went out separate ways."

Lindsey took a seat on the couch, "Well that good. I mean you didn't want to go out with her anyway, right?" Eddie nodded, taking a seat as well. "Yeah, but that's not the problem. The problem is my Tia trying to set me up." He took a breath for a moment before adding, "You know she even asked me if I'd go out with you."

Lindsey couldn't help but laugh, "I only met her one time and she thinks I'd be a good match for you? Did you tell her I have a boyfriend?" Eddie nodded, "Well she's willing to set me up with total strangers, so...And I did mention that and you know what she said? She told me it doesn't matter and that all is fair in love and war."

Lindsey burst out in laughter and Eddie couldn't help but laugh as well. "Did you tell Buck all this?" Lindsey asked through her laughs. "Not the part about how I should steal you away from him. I didn't really feel like getting punched." Lindsey laughed harder at Eddie's words.

"But seriously, what am I gonna do?" Eddie asked. Calming herself down, she said, "Just talk to your Tia. Tell her you appreciate her looking out for you but you don't need her setting you up on dates. You'll find the right one eventually."

"Thanks Lindsey, but I don't know if my Tia will listen."

Lindsey rolled her eyes, "Just explain it to her Eddie. Who knows, maybe she'll surprise you." Eddie scoffed, "Probably with another date...but i'll do my best to explain to her that I don't need her help."
