When the Boeing Gets Tough...
🚨

When Lindsey's vision started to clear, she knew that she needed to get up. She reached her hands out and grabbed whatever she could to pull herself up, not caring that she was smearing her own blood onto the plane.

Between the wind that was now whipping through the plane and the fact that the plane itself was rocking back and forth, it made it hard for Lindsey to stay steady. Using whatever she could, she pulled herself into the cockpit. She could hear the automated voice saying "Danger. Reduce altitude."

She ignored it and grabbed the shoulder of the pilot. "Hey! Hey!" She kept shaking him till he started to wake up. "What can I do?" She asked as the pilot scanned his surroundings. He reached out and pressed a button that helped steady the plane, but right after that, he passed out again.

Lindsey shook him again but he didn't wake up. Her eyes searched for something, anything. They eventually fell on the radio. Grabbing the walkie, she yelled, "Mayday! Mayday! Emergency! Emergency!" All she got back was static.

A noise behind her made her turn and she saw Athena pulling herself into the cockpit. "Are you okay?"

Athena's eyes widened, "Am I okay? Are you okay? You have blood dripping down your head."

"I'm fine," Lindsey reassured her. "A bit dizzy but fine." She then gestured to the radio, "All i'm getting is static and the pilots out cold."

Athena reached into her pocket and pulled out her phone. She thanked god that the plane still had wifi and then dialed 911.

Josh was the one that answered, "Can you repeat that? I'm having trouble hearing you, Ma'am."

"Maybe it's because the windows open!" Athena replied in an almost sarcastic tone.

"Are you driving?"

"No. Flying. Keystar Flight 63 out of Phoenix. There's been an accident. A midair collision. Our radio here is busted." Athena told him.

"Can I have your name?" Josh asked and Lindsey reached to grab the phone from Athena's hands. "Josh, it's Lindsey! Athena is with me. We need air traffic."

"Lindsey," she heard him say in shock, "oh god. Okay, i'll put you through."

The line was silent for a moment before a new voice came through, "Flight 63, this is Nick Johnson, Air Traffic Control. Are you there, Flight 63?"
