Everly

Just like the past few days on this trip, I have once again woken up to the light literally blinding me. Breakfast had consisted of some wild animal that Derek had caught and roasted; I think it was a rabbit of some sort. Whatever it was, it didnt taste half bad.

The four of us had packed up our stuff and left the treehouse. I found it quite odd that there was an empty treehouse in our path, howconvenient. Either way, the structure isnt on our path home, so its unlikely that we will ever have to come across it again.

Derek said that it was only about an hours walk to the docks, then it would take the rest of the time that the sun is up to get to the island. Hopefully we get to Arsenios Island before sundown. Unfortunately all of that depends if we run into any sirens while crossing the sea.

Sirens are half human-half fish like beings that swarm the oceans. They will hunt down anything that just as much sets a foot in their waters. They will tear the body to shreds and devour it within minutes. That is the sole reason that it is forbidden everywhere to go swimming in the ocean.
