Klaus's POV:
Standing in the middle of the forest, I listen intently. So far I had gone around most of the places that Lorelei spend her time. I also had the surviving hybrids out looking in shops and restaurants. I had spent quite a bit of time vamp speeding through the forest and yet still no luck in finding her. Rebecca was the only person I knew who was innocent in this as she was with me a large majority of the time. She was also just as worried as I was. My anger showed more than my concern, however.
She crossed me.
I had looked over my supply of Elena Gilbert's blood, and it was getting too low for my liking.
Deciding on the easiest route, I compelled Stefan to bring Elena to the house where we could resupply in private. She would stay for a few hours while I gather enough blood to re-create my hybrids and then she'd be on her way and the next phase would begin.
" I know you're out here love."
Closing my eyes, I take a deep breath and hold it focusing on whatever sounds, I can pick up.
I smile when I hear it.
The sound of a racing heart.
"I've checked everywhere else and this is your favorite place to go. I'll admit, I wasn't prepared for that one but the fun and games are over now it's time to come home."
I speed over in the direction it's coming from but she's already gone by the time I get there.
" You know that I have never once lied to you so you can trust me to keep my word when I tell you that if I have to hunt you down in these woods, it will not end well for you."
I hear the sound of a tree branch snap and the rustling of bushes and I head for the sound. This time I manage to catch her and pin her by the throat right up against the tree. There are broken bits of branches and leaves in her hair. She looks scared, eyes wide, breath uneven.
"There she is."
I keep my grip just enough to keep her contained. She doesn't resist, keeping her hands at her sides. I lean in close to her, my eyes never leaving hers.
" You created quite the mess. Now, you're gonna help me clean it up."
With that, I grab her by the arm and we speed back to the house. When we arrive, I pull her through the front door and she moves without protest. I motion for her to go to the study and she obeys. Closing the front door I walk closely behind her. She stands there waiting while I just stare at her trying deal with the anger is self rising at me since I walked in the door the first time earlier today.
"Get on your knees."
She obeys immediately, kneeling down on the ground, sitting down on her behind while keeping her toes tucked in the way that I had instructed her to do during her first session together. I circle around her as I begin to speak, keeping my voice low and even.
"When you woke up this morning, you found your door to be locked which is exactly what I instructed one of my newer hybrids to do. You met him. You bit his head off his neck. So tell me why when I returned home instead of a peaceful event, I return to bloodbath?"
She doesn't speak, staring intently at the ground. I can feel my anger begin to rise.
" I asked you a question. You best answer it."
" I wanted to be free. You kept me locked down there like an animal." She replies angrily
" I kept you down there because I didn't want you to interfere with the business I was attending to."
She doesn't respond to this looking for me down back to the ground now looking ashamed.
" In the morning, you and I are going to take a trip to once again, get more hybrids. You alone will be the one to feed them and kill them."
Her head jerks back up, her expression now full of anger and shock.
" I'm not gonna kill someone for you."
" You will do whatever I tell you to do."
She says nothing, defeated.
" Stand up." I command reaching out a hand for her.
She takes it, allowing me to assist her.
Once she stands up, I walk over to a drawer and grab a leather paddle. Her eyes widen when I turned around and she sees when I'm holding. I order her to go over to the couch and bend over. She does so bending over gracefully. I instruct her to put her hands over her head and she does. I lift the bottom of the dress, exposing her bare skin, as there was nothing underneath. This was normally the type of thing she kept stashed in the woods before coming home, stripping and going to sleep.
Gently, rubbing the leather over her skin, I watch as she shivers and she inhales sharply, anticipating the first hit. I wait, however, letting the anticipation build. And build.
"Why am I punishing you Lorelei?"
" I disobeyed you."
" What are you supposed to do if this becomes too much?"
" Use the safe word."
"Which is?"
"Fern."
"Good girl."
For a moment I remove the paddle and I can see her body relax briefly. This was the intent of course, because when the paddle touches her skin again, even though it was light, she flinches. I wanted to drag this out, so she would never see the first hit coming.
I watch her body language closely with her every time I do this and when she finally fully relaxes, I know that she's ready to start.
I raise the paddle and the first hit comes.
The first few were fairly light only getting a wimper in response. As I continue, I bring the paddle further back a little more with each swing, causing the impact to be more and more pain each time. The paddle makes contact again and she cries out. Her skin, which in the beginning was a light fair color was now turning shades of pink and dark red. I begin to increase the amount of pain on impact as well as decreasing speed between hits.
Her hand instinctively moves to protect herself. and I halt immediately. Setting the paddle down, my skin moves across hers and I can tell it's beginning to warm. I ask if she's OK and she says that she is. I begin rubbing her back until she once again she relaxes, and I ask if she's ready to continue and she says she is.
This time I don't wait and the first hit comes immediately and she cries out. Each strike is hard and swift, and soon tears begin to run down her cheeks. Her nails dig into the comforter as her hands clutch the sheets.
Once I believe she has had enough, I stop and pull her into my embrace. Then once we are both calm again and I checked to make sure that she's OK, I sent her off on her way to bed, knowing that tomorrow's going to be a long day.
