Flashback:

The twigs break under my feet as I follow Nik, his hand in mine, pulling me forward. We move deeper into the forest, over a small stream, through an array of pines and into a meadow of soft grass and small purple flowers. The sun beams down, pleasantly warm. Nik guides me over to where a layer of blankets are already strewn on the ground. I turn to him, wondering what he was implying but it doesn't take long for his lips to meet mine. He orders me to lie on my back on the blankets.

There's a noise from upstairs.

" You disappeared for weeks and that's all you have to say?"Damon demands

" What would you like me to say Damon? I gave myself to Klaus in order to save your life. I paid the price for your stupidity."
