Lorelei's POV:
I feel the cool breeze on my face as I sit on a large rock, enjoying the night the air.
I'm not stupid. It won't take long for Nik to put two and two together and figure out that I'm the one who took Tyler's life.
Am I ashamed?
No.
Do I regret it?
Also no.
Bree may not have been in my life for a long time, but she was a friend and as her friend it was my job to avenge her death.
I'd do it again even if it costs my own life.
Climbing down off the rock, I kneel down and transform into my black wolf form.
I begin to run, moving faster with each stride.
Time to take off for a bit.
I can feel the hunger.
Sprinting in all fours, I move faster than any wolf to ever exist. Dodging trees and leaping over streams, I'm on the hunt. Hearing twigs snap to the West of me, I take off. Keeping my nose close to the ground, I catch the scent of a deer and run even harder. A few yards away, I see it rushing through a bush and up a hill.
I give chase.
I get closer and launch myself at the deer, aiming my jaws for its' neck. It struggles, letting out a cry before I bite down.
Silence.
A few hours later, I'm back at the mansion, sitting with Rebekah, as we both feed on a woman she'd brought home. Pulling away, I wipe the blood from my lips. She pulls away too, only long enough to tell Kol to get lost.
Kol turns to his sister, a mix of amusement and bewilderment on his face.
" I just walked in the door." He replies gesturing with his hand toward the front door
Rebekah pulls away again, shooting him and annoyed look at which she had mastered over the centuries of putting up with her brother.
" I can see that. Goodbye."
"Is that truly how you're gonna treat your brother after not seeing him for six months?"
Rebekah, even more irritated now pulls away yet again from her meal, glaring at Kol.
"That is a drop in the bucket for us. Now, if you don't shut it, I'll break your neck and finish my mail while you drool on the carpet." She snips
Kol walks away deeper into the house.
I head for my room knowing it's only a matter of time before the peace is ruined. In only a few hours I am proven correct. Rebekah, Nik and I sit together in the living room. Nik paces back and forth. Rebekah, doing her best to try and ignore her brother's paranoia, sits scanning through some fashion magazine.
As he continues to pace, I see Rebekah's patience running thin.
"Do you mind?" She demands
"No." He responds
Turning from her to me, he asks if anyone has seen Tyler around. In all reality, I had buried his corpse a few hours after I'd transitioned, hiding his body in a grave deep in the woods, making sure to cover the recently dug dirt with leaves and branches to make the ground seem undisturbed. I'd only spent time with the other hybrids long enough to gain information to stay out of Nik's line of sight. So far Tyler's absence hadn't really been addressed.
I don't know what to say but as he continues to stare me down, I know I have to say something.
"No." I answer
