Lorelei's POV:

I wake in my bedroom.

Looking around I can see that it's the dead of night again.

Have I been out the whole night?

Sitting up, I move to climb out of bed when something stops mr. Hearing the sound of a chain rattle, I look down to see my arm is cuffed to the bed with thick chains. I feel the anger begin to rise within me again. Then I think back to the last memory of him.

"I'll always need you."

Sighing I grab with my other hand and pull. The chain doesn't give. I can see it scrape up against the wooden bed.

The bed.

Slamming my leg down against the board, I groan with annoyance. I slam down again repeatedly until finally the board gives, snapping.

The door opens just as I manage to get on my feet.

I can smell the vampire on her just as she enters.

Oh Nik, do you ever learn?

I strike, slamming her first against the wall by the arm. She shoves her foot down on mine and I stumble back. We launch at one another again. This time knocking each other to the ground.Grabbing onto her arm again, I move to bite when she stabs me with a needle, quickly shoving the plunger down. Soon everything fades to black again.

When I wake again, the door is shut.

Sunlight beams through the window and Nik stands there.

"You have two options: behave and earn your freedom or stay locked in here until I come back."

"Come back from where?"

"Make your choice."

I stare, not speaking.

Pulling out a key ke moves to the door.

"Wait! Don't leave me in here!"

"Well?"

"I'll do whatever you want! Just don't lock me away!"

"Very well."

Offering a hand, I take it and he pulls me up.

We make our way to the door when he holds up a hand.

"Disobey me and you'll pay the consequences."

"Okay."

"Are we clear?"

"Crystal."

We make our way through the house, down to the basement.

Opening the door to one of the cells, a man exits.

"Stefan Salvatore, this is Lorelei. You'll both be accompanying me today."

"With what exactly?" Stefan asks

"I need to take out a weapon. They are stockpiling black magic weapons. We need to take them and destroy them before the witches of this town try something stupid like using them against us."

We pile into the sedan and take off down the road.

After only driving ten minutes or so, we're driving down remote roads.

Nik pulls into a driveway and we climb out.

"Stefan, go around back. Lorelei go through the second floor balcony. I'll go through the front door. Be careful. It's unknown what awaits us."

We take off a few steps toward our own paths when something dawns on me. Grabbing Nik's arm I pull him back.

"Wait."
