Klaus's POV:

I walk into the house and look around.

"Lorelei!" I call out

Nothing.

"Lorelei love, it's time to go!" I say

I listen intently but all that follows is silence.

I make my way through the house at top speed moving room to room but in a moment I know that the house is empty. I turn when the door opens behind me. The last two hybrids I have stand at the ready. I tell them to guard the basement with their lives and to let me know if Lorelei returns. I head for the basement, heading in deeper. I breathe a sigh of relief as I see the coffins lying there.

I'd gotten word of Kol racking up a body count all the way up the west coast. In the midst of everything, I needed him contained. Elijah lies in his own coffin next to him. I wasn't going to take any chances of my siblings appearing in the last moment to ruin it all. I head back up the stairs and out the back door into the woods. I walk around the outskirts of the forest. Seeing nothing I move in deeper.

A few moments of speeding about the forest, I find a pile of clothes sitting atop a missy boulder. It's Lorelei's. Hearing a howl in the distance, I turn to face the sound. I hear the howling get closer. Then I see a large black wolf make its way through the clearing. The wolf stands on all four paws, it's back at the same height as the standard person's waist. She continues to move forward even as she completes the transition: now in human form standing bare in front of me.

"What do you want, Nik?" She demands as she walks over, snatching the clothes

"Tsk. Such an attitude." I reply

"Yeah. I've been hunting for hours. I finally had a deer in my grasp, chasing it through the forest and you interrupted me! You couldn't have waited for five minutes?!"

"Well unfortunately I'm on a tight schedule so no I couldn't. Now let's go." I say gesturing for her to move

"No! I run around and do whatever you want I killed ten people for you. I turned them into vampires, for you. Go use one of them."

She takes off back into the woods.

Elena's POV:

My eyes open and I look around to see that I'm surrounded by concrete walls. Letting out a groan, I attempt to roll over. I let out a groan of pain, my entire body aches. It hurts to move even the slightest and I feel as if I have never slept a moment in my life.

"Elena? Are you awake?" A voice calls out

I try to speak but nothing comes out.

"Elena?" The voice calls again

It sounds fuzzy.

Almost like I'm underwater.

I wonder what's going on.

I try to think about what I remember last.

Klaus showed up at the school.

A wave of fear washes over me as I remember some thing else.

Bonnie.

He took Bonnie.

I fumble around for my phone but I can't find it.

"Elena, if you can hear me, everything is going to be fine."

As my hearing begins to clear up in the fog starts to leave my brain I finally recognize the voice that's been speaking to me.

"Stefan?" I ask

"I made a deal with Klaus. Bonnie is safe and back at home. Once he has enough of your blood, you'll be back with Jeremy soon."

Fear rocks my nerves again as I think back to the last time that he and Klaus worked together. House for Stefan to turn his humanity off, and they took off together out of town. The body count started stacking up almost immediately. Klaus used Stefan to keep him company while he brought his siblings back from their comatose states and created his first group of hybrids. I was kept locked away when it all began.

And ended.

Klaus slaughtered the dozen hybrids, and then started over again.

He tormented all of us for fun.

"Out of boredom" is what he told Caroline.

Stefan became a Ripper again, unable to satiate his addiction to human blood. For months he became a monster.

"Stefan what deal did you make with Klaus?" I demand

Silence.

"Stefan!" I yell

"I made the only deal I could. Klaus only cares for family and power. With me, he gets a bit of both."

"He doesn't want this side of you and you know it."

"I'm sorry you don't agree with it but it was the only way to save your life." He replies

The door to the basement opens and I listen as footsteps approach my cell. Klaus stands with a key, unlocking the cell.

"What're you doing?" Stefan questions him

"Getting what I need." He replies before grabbing me by the arm

He marches me upstairs and into his backyard. Bringing me over to the back porch, he rips the necklace full of vervain around my neck.

"You will sit here until I say otherwise." He say, his eyes dialating as he compels me

"I will sit here until you say otherwise." I repeat

A woman walks over with a med cart.

I tense but cannot flee.

She makes quick work, pulling out a needle, collection tubes, gloves and more. I recognize everything from the last time he'd taken me.

Everything he needed to stockpile my blood.

The woman makes quick work, not even making eye contact with me, as she sticks the needle in. She sets everything up exactly as she needs it and soon blood is slowly collecting into the bag. I watch as one by one she fills a bag and places it into a cooler before filling another and another. The pinch of the needle puncture begins to itch. I begin to feel a bit dizzy. Once the last blood bag is full, she pulls the small IV tube out and wraps the small puncture wound.

I hear someone coming up behind me, and I see that it is the same woman who was accompanying Klaus earlier.

She makes her way closer to me, scanning me closely.

"Lorelei." Klaus says sharply

She turns around and walks away sitting only a few feet away.

"I'm not doing anything." She says snippily

He says nothing, continuing to stare her down until she begins to shift around uncomfortably. Then he turns his attention to me.

"You're free to leave now." Klaus says

"I'm not going anywhere without Stefan." I snap

"The deal has already been made, love." He gestures to Lorelei who walks over to me.

"You will leave not remembering this place." I say

She repeats the phrase, eyes glazed over before she stands and exits.
