Où est ton papa ?
Dis-moi, où est ton papa ?
Sans même devoir lui parler
Il sait ce qu'il ne va pas

Bastille Day!
Many people won't know what Bastille Day is, but it is one of the best days of the year. It celebrates the storming of Bastille prison in the French revolution. Despite not being French in the slightest, I learnt the language for most of my life. The French culture really stuck out to me, and I don't know why.
I told Katie and Rue basically everyday this past week that it was nearly Bastille Day, and when I woke up, I saw red, blue, and white flowers on my desk. I actually love them. I immediately took a photo of them and posted it on my Instagram story.
Not even 5 minutes later I got a message from Lucy, who had viewed my story.
Luce💙
Bonne fête nationale mon cœur ! Je ne savais pas que tu le célébrais ! Xx
(Happy national day my love! I didn't know you were celebrating it!)
Ah, oui. Mon jour préféré. Que fais-tu aujourd'hui ? Xx
(Ah yes, my favourite day. What are you doing today?)
Célébrations! Veux-tu rejoindre ? Xx
(Celebrations! Do you want to join?)
Ouais ! Bien sûr que oui ! Xx
(Yes! Of course, I do!)
I'll book you a train ticket now. Let your parents know and you can stay at mine for the week if you want. Xx
Oh, how I love you, Lucy! Xx
I love you too mon ange. Train is booked for 11, gets to the train station at 2 and I'll pick you up. Xx
I am not an angel, but thank you so much Luce xx🙄😊❤
I ran into Katie's room, obviously knocking first. I looked at her with the biggest smile ever. "Look! Look!" I shoved my phone in Katie's face as she looked back at me. "Babe, I don't read French. What does it say?" we all laughed. "Basically, Lucy is celebrating Bastille Day, and she wants me to come up to Manchester and spend the week with her. Can I? Can I?" I pleaded.
"Going by train?" Rue asked. I nodded. They both agreed I could go as long as I kept them updated whenever I could. I ran to the shower as it was already 9 and it took an hour to get to the station. I had to ask Katie and Rue to pack for me. They had no clue what to pack so I was shouting out things from the bathroom.
I eventually got all cleaned up and my bag was packed with my blanket and Katie's bear too. I always made sure to grab the picture of me, Katie and Rue that lived on my mirror whenever I went anywhere, and this was no exception. Katie and Rue were in my room when I grabbed it. "Aw that's cute." Rue whispered as she was sat on my bed.
I grabbed a pair of Arsenal tracksuit bottoms and a loose-fitting black shirt as I walked back into the bathroom to get changed. It was now 9:20 and all I had to do was my makeup and hair. I didn't do much to my hair. I blow-dried it a little, but I had like 3 hours on a train, so it didn't need to be that dry, and I just chucked it in two plaits.
