A/N... I have been SO unmotivated to write this chapter so I'm really sorry if it's not great. I have all the rest of the book planned and am hoping to finish it just after the new year so stay tuned for maybe another book (🤔😊)
Sorry if this chapter isn't great xx

There's a time that I remember, when I did not know no pain
When I believed in forever, and everything would stay the same
Now my heart feel like December when somebody say your name
'Cause I can't reach out to call you, but I know I will one day, yeah

I'm getting there.
It's grind time. It's dead grind time. I mean, it's always been grind time and focus time but this is more than it ever is. Our first game is in 6 days, including today, and that shit is scary. Our first game is against Austria with Manu and Laura, my Arsenal teammates.
Today I need to do 3 things primarily; talk to Leah about how to go against teammates and friends, talk to Mapi about emotions and feelings within the Euros, and get this Barcelona thing out in the open - to actually have a conversation about it instead of me pushing it to one side. I will 100% overthink it during the Euros if I don't talk about it now, so I have too.
I woke up genuinely already thinking about it, so I decided that was the first thing I was going to do after showering. I jumped straight up, leaving my phone on my bedside table next to the sleeping Esme, and quickly washed my body before tying my hair into a plait. I chucked on my England shorts and top, and knocked on Lucy's door once I grabbed my phone.
She opened the door and looked like I had just woken her up. "What time is it?" I laughed. "Half 6. Shhh. Kei is still asleep. Come cuddle." She laughed. "Fine. Fine." I laid in between them both, and Keira thinking I was her girlfriend, cuddled into me. "Naww." I whispered, taking a cute little selfie, and sending it to Leah.

"Luce. I'm going to Leah's. Take her." I smiled, sliding out of bed, and saying I would see them later. I walked down the two corridors to Leah's room, knocking on the door. "G's asleep but she's a heavy sleeper so it's fine." Leah laughed. Georgia is normally a very light sleeper, but since being on camp, she's been giving sleeping tablets to help her sleep on a night.
"What did you need to talk about?" Leah asked me as we sat up facing each other. "I want to talk about what to expect in like a major competition." I whispered. "Be more clear?" She giggled back to me, laying her head on the headboard.
