Adam hummed a soft song under his breath, looking left and right before crossing the road. Evan followed him on his heel, practically glued to his body. The giant looked down at their joined hands, enjoying the clash of his pale and rough skin against his lover's darker tone. It felt like they were the ying and the yang, trying to blend together but not quite succeeding.

Adam's soft dark bangs tickled his eyes, making him blow air up, only for the hairs to fall back in the same place. An annoyed grunt left his pursued lips, which made Evan chuckle. The warrior glared at him for mocking him and huffed before rolling his eyes when he saw that the slave's long locks of brown hair were tied back skillfully. Only one single strand was flowing down his left cheek, but it didn't seem to prickle the giant's eye like it did with Adam's.

Vendors shouted left and right in hope of catching some brainless buyers, but the duo paid them no mind as they continued toward their destination. They were heading toward Erwin's shop to buy some daggers to hide in their clothes, along with dried beef. It would need to last them a few weeks so as to be able to reach Dispel without having to hunt.

They could always catch a few prey on the way, but it would slow them down and they didn't know if the merchant they were escorting was in a hurry or not.

Evan stared at Adam's face, catching the way the warrior's eyes would linger on trinkets or some exotic food, how he would glance back when seeing simple but fashionable clothes or even when he discretely rubbed his free hands on animal's fur. All those small acts caught the slave's attention, and each time he took note of what had his little hedgehog captivated.

He may not have money right now, and he knew that Adam was saving their money for important things only, but he could always offer it as a gift later when he made more gold. He wanted to see a smile on his partner's face.

For now, he had seen small amused smiles, fake ones and forced ones, but never had he been granted the joy of seeing his master's illuminated face as he laughed cheerfully.

He couldn't even imagine how divine it would look.

Adam glanced back at the giant a few times, feeling observed, but Evan didn't even bother hiding his staring, meeting his gaze head on and not looking the slightest embarrassed. The warrior then abandoned, knowing that it would lead him nowhere.

He could see that he was the only one in the slave's pupils, every human, animal and object that wasn't Adam was ignored and judged insignificant. Evan was obsessed with him, but he didn't mind. It was only a little embarrassing, even more so when he saw people whispering and pointing at them.

Quickly, however, Adam squared his shoulders back and put on a cold face.

He had nothing to be ashamed of, he should even feel proud for receiving such deep affection.

Seeing Adam with his peacock tail fully open and swaying before him, Evan had to hold down the corner of his lips to keep them from rising into a smirk. He liked seeing his man confident, without fear.

The busy streets were left behind as the couple entered Erwin's hidden store. The bell above their head greeted them with enthusiasm, and the fairy owner did the same when he emerged from the backstore. Abigail wasn't following behind him like his shadow as she would normally do, but it wasn't surprising as the two men had seen her at the inn.

Erwin's pointy ears shook as he presented his new arrivals to his regular customers, his voice high pitched as the man nearly flew with joy and passion. It could be seen that Erwin was like a fish into water as he spoke of tiny details about his products.

After what felt like hours for Evan in which he wanted to bang his head against a wall, Erwin finally ended his pitch with an exhausted exhale. He looked at them with shining eyes, clearly expecting the couple to buy everything he had just named.

"I'm sorry, Erwin, but we just came to buy a few things. We are leaving for Dispel tomorrow, so we need supplies and to save on spending. Maybe next time, ok?" Adam said, trying to sound as gently as he could. Still, the fairy's ears dropped down and sadness filled his entire being. They could even see his wings start to get bluer. Adam's hands flew in all senses, trying to come up with a way to cheer up the man, but coming short of ideas.

Suddenly, a thought struck his mind and without even thinking about it, Adam grabbed the nearest thing on the table full of new stock.

"Fine, I will buy this. Don't be sad anymore, Erwin, or Abigail will kill me!" Adam exclaimed with what he could muster of emotion. When it was something not concerning Evan, it was hard for the warrior to express himself. Well, he wasn't showing that much emotion with the slave, but the giant was just that good at discerning his hedgehog's feelings.

It could be called a side effect of having to live all alone without much interaction with others.

At first, he would try to rebel and act angry, but with all the beatings he got, Adam's willpower soon wilted away. His anger, sadness, loneliness all have been locked away in his heart, deep inside. Evan could bring some of it out, but that was the extent of it.

Erwin looked at Adam with wide eyes, before a blush overcame his chubby face. The fairy looked away quickly before flying toward the counter, waiting for them to finish collecting their supplies. Adam titled his head to the side, not understanding the man's reaction.

However, his face quickly morphed into one of emptiness as he stared blankly at the sex toy in his hand. It was made of a buttplug attached to a fluffy dog tail, and a headband with wolf's ears was also included in the transparent package.

Adam's mouth opened and closed without uttering a sound.

Evan's eyes darkened as he imagined his lover with it, but he gulped down the groan that wanted to escape. He chose not to comment on the warrior's pick, as he knew that the man had blindly taken something. His master was pretty thin-skinned, so he mustn't embarrass him for fear of his hedgehog running away. He would have to capture him back and chain him to his side, which was quite bothersome.

Adam looked up at the still red-faced Erwin and tried to explain the misunderstanding, but the moment he made eye contact with the small shop owner, he knew that his image was forever ruined.

Hey dear readers, yes, they will buy it.

And yes, Evan will make sure that it doesn't go to waste *wink*wink*
