Feeling Good by Michael Bublé~

The couple packed as the children played quietly around the cave. Their shoulders and arms brushed against each other, both enjoying the warmth of the other as the weather progressively got colder.

Adam glanced at the slave, seeing the latter distracted by Ash's running form. The kid was being chased around by Blaze in his fox form, laughing quietly as if trying to make the least sound as possible and not disturb others. It seemed mostly a bad habit created by years of slavery, as they were alone in the woods and the couple and the fox certainly didn't mind hearing his bell-like laugh.

"You seem to be quite fond of Ash." Adam asked, not really expecting an answer as it was more of a statement. Still, the giant nodded, a shadow of a smile making his lips curve. The warrior raised a brow at the unexpected straightforward answer. It seemed like they had both their own little protege.

Adam chose not to comment, packing their last things and then crawling out of the cave. The warrior stiffened as he felt Evan touching his butt just as he exited. He turned back, looking at him as if asking 'seriously?'.

"Too tempting." The giant only answered in return, taking back his pervy claws after filling his Adam meter. The warrior rolled his eyes, secretly glad that he had his perverted slave back, Evan's mood having improved since the encounter with the villagers.

Still, he knew that if he really wanted Evan to go back to normal, there was one last thing to do. Which is why, as he came closer to the children, he suggested going to a river to wash up all together while Evan went to gather berries for breakfast. The giant exchanged a look with the warrior, the latter slightly nodding to show his support.

Blaze agreed eagerly, liking it when Adam threw him in the air and into the water. Seeing his new friend so happy, Ash nodded, somewhat hesitating. Adam guessed that his previous washing times must not have been pleasant, and swore to make it as fun as possible.

The warrior told the children to send their father away with a hug, Blaze throwing himself into Evan's arms for a long embrace, and Ash quickly hugging the giant and then retreating behind Adam. Evan chose not to comment, satisfied that at least the snake had walked willingly into his arms.

The giant turned back to his lover. Adam, having wanted for this moment, hugged his partner. He then stood on his tip-toe, giving Evan a quick peck. The slave looked at him with hungry eyes, licking his lips as if to make the fluttering touch linger, but the couple knew they needed to keep things PG-13 with the two children around.

"Bye bye, don't forget the berries, Bear!" Adam teased, Blaze and Ash looking confused as to how Evan could forget about the berries when it was the reason why he was heading away. The giant only nodded, knowing that the warrior had guessed that he was going to pay a little visit to the snake shifter's old masters. They hadn't dared to spill any blood yesterday with the children around and their bodies exhausted. Now, however, it was a different matter.

Evan would make them pay tenfold.

Adam led the two children toward the river after sending off Evan, the trio stripping down to their underwear when they reached their destination. Blaze immediately ran into the water, splashing around and scaring away the fishes.

Ash, contrary to his friend, fidgeted on the beach. His tail was wrapped around his body and his head was dropping low, seemingly self-conscious and afraid. Adam came close to the child, dropping down on his knees before him.

"Don't be afraid, Ash. No one here will judge or abuse you." The warrior said, softening his tone. The snake looked up at him from in between his eyelashes, his slitted iris widened by anxiety. Adam gently took Ash's hands between his, keeping the snake from fidgeting with his fingers. He slowly took away his arms covering himself and got up, leading the kid toward the lake.
