The sun shone bright outside the tent, making Adam wince as his puffy eyes struggled to open against the brightness. The tissue was a poor attempt at blocking the sun's rays. The warrior felt a warm body snuggle him into his embrace, and he allowed a small smile to stretch his lips as the feeling of warmth enveloped his being, both body and mind.

Evan placed pecks all over his nape and collarbone, but Adam knew there was no sexual intent behind those acts. It was just the giant's way of showing his love and saying good morning. The warrior let out a quiet laugh as the giant's long hair brushed against his shoulder, tickling his sensitive skin.

"Good morning to you too." Adam whispered, not sure if Blaze was awake yet and not wanting to wake him up if he wasn't. Evan grunted in answer, slowly drawing circles on Adam's hip with his rough thumb. The giant was half-awake and half-sleeping, not fully aware of what he was doing and just acting on his instincts.

As he emerged from his torpor, the giant's heart dropped suddenly, his blood freezing in his veins as he realized that he may have gotten too touchy with Adam. After what happened last night, he wasn't sure if the warrior wanted to be touched like that so soon.

"Sorry-" Evan got up to put distance between him and his lover, hands raised in a surrendering gesture as he tried to apologize. However, Adam chased after him, jumping from the bed and into the giant's arms. The slave humphed as he receptionned the package, his knees flinching at the sudden weight addition. He quickly stabilized himself as he held into Adam's thighs, not wanting to drop the warrior. The shorter man may have less muscles than him and weigh less, but he still had flesh on him. He was a grown man.

"Not so fast, mister. I want my good morning kiss." Adam teased, bringing their noses together so he could give an eskimo kiss to Evan. The giant took his lover's expression in, looking for any sign of discomfort or that Adam was forcing himself. However, he was only met with a teasing glint and amusement, with a hint of love and fondness.

Realizing that he was fine now, Evan took his time kissing Adam, taking it slow and enjoying the soft fleshy lips of his lover. Their mouths melt against each other, their hot intertwined breaths warming their hearts.

Adam still winced and expressed his pain when Evan put too much pressure on his scabbed lip, which in return made a furious fox yip with displeasure at the giant's feet. Both lovers looked down, seeing the shifter at their feet, looking more than awake and for more than a few minutes at that.

The warrior coughed, hiding his embarrassment as the giant gently dropped him on his feet, being mindful of his sprain.

Blaze expected a glare from his father, as he had interrupted his sweet time with his dad. Yet, he was met with a smile, quite scary if you asked him, and then he was smothered into big muscles arms, Evan's growing bear tickling his belly as the giant rubbed his face there. It seemed like a poor attempt at blowing raspberries on his tummy, but it was funny enough to make the fox let out a chirp-like laugh.

Adam looked at the two men of his life growing closer with wide eyes, before his expression softened when he realized that Evan was trying to be a good father. The warrior was glad that he had met such an amazing lover. Just the fact that the giant was trying was enough.

He would need a few more lessons on how to act with a child, but Adam also wanted to sign up for this course, so it was fine.

They would navigate parenthood together and figure it out eventually.

After making sure, unintentionally, that all of Blaze's fur was covered in saliva on his belly, Evan set the kit down, rubbing his head between his two ears with his hand. The fox chose not to comment, turning toward his dad instead with expectation in his eyes. Adam laughed out loud at the child's hilarious expression, his fur sticking up all over in random directions.

Evan's heart settled down as he basked in the peaceful and easygoing face his partner was making, happy that they had gone so well through their first real conflict as a couple. It could have ended badly, but it didn't, and he was thankful for that.

After Adam granted Blaze's wish to be smothered to death by kisses, the family packed their things again, ready to continue their journey.

They ate some slices of jerky and then went toward where the map was telling them to go. They took it slow, being cautious of Adam's ankle and not wishing to aggravate his injury. After a good amount of hours walking, however, they realized that he was completely healed, so they picked up the pace after a short break to replenish their bottles of water.

They met monsters on the way, along with small animals.

They sometimes had to fight, but most often than not, the beasts went away on their own, feeling the difference in strength. They weren't like the mutated monsters that attacked anything that met their paths, they still had their animal instincts.

Their second day of walking ended peacefully, as did the following week of traveling.

Adam took his time analyzing various plants that they passed by, taking notes of funny facts he discovered about them or about animals. He had started to record their journey, feeling that it may be useful one day as they continued with their adventurer careers.

Nowadays, Blaze slept with Evan and Adam inside the tent, and the couple had yet to do anything sexual at night. However, it didn't bother any of them. They were quite content with how things were. Sometimes when they let Blaze play in a lake or meadow, they would go further away to satisfy their needs. They took things slow until they were both ready to go all the way again.

Since that night, Adam hadn't felt the need to say the safe word.

Evan had grown quite good at picking up the signs, and he immediately stopped and communicated if he felt some sort of resistance in Adam's behavior. It always ended with the two men reconciling.

Adam had allowed Evan to become more rough, like in the past, and he enjoyed it. Now, however, he expressed his desires and his pleasure, wanting to make Evan feel confident. He knew he had hurt the giant and made him feel afraid of scaring him, so he needed to prove to him that he liked being handled in a more... primal and harsh way.

They were slowly rebuilding the trust and confidence that had been damaged that night.
