The man with a cape only laughed at Evan's threat, making the giant even more frustrated as he let out another growl.

"What are you? A wolf?" Their host said before laughing out loud. His mocking was interrupted when he choked on the scarf around his mouth. The mysterious and arrogant image of the dark sorcerer was quickly broken as he tried to catch his breath, his hand smacking his thigh as he panted and made weird throwing up cat sounds.

Evan stopped trying to jump on him, and he was left standing before the still choking man. Both master and slave looked down with a deadpan expression at the sorcerer, not really sure if they could still leave or if it was too late.

"Fantastic. I had my servant prepare all this stuff at the last minute to make a cool first impression to you guys, but he just had to add a scarf to the costume. That's why they say it's better to do things yourself for a good result." The man said, taking off his scarf, revealing a somewhat young face. The man looked like he was in his twenties, but he had a slightly chubby face, white as sugar, with a red pouty mouth. A button nose rounded up his look. Adam's eyebrow twitched at the new information the sorcerer just gave, but he refrained from making any comments. Even if the man was a joke in himself, the way the shadows curved around his body and let out small puffs of smoke proved that the man was a real dark sorcerer.

"You guys are so boring. Anyways, my name's Kaleb. I'm the man you were looking for. I heard you wanted to get rid of a slave tattoo?" The sorcerer, now known as Kaleb, said with an enigmatic smile, putting the palm of his hand on one knee and pressing his body down until his elbow was up in the air, nearly at an angle of forty-five. The duo only glanced at him with a straight face, nowhere near intimidated by his act.

It was too late.

His image was ruined forever.

Coughing as he didn't get an answer apart from a small nod coming from Adam, Kaleb got up. His knees wobbled slightly as he did so, and low curses about staying seated too long and an uncomfortable pillow were heard. The couple only stared at the man with a bored face as the sorcerer swore to fire the useless servant that organized everything while he rummaged through jars of weird powders.

He finally let out a 'ha-ha!' as he turned toward them with a transparent jar filled with bright pink powder. He walked until he was in front of them, having to quicken his space a little as Evan and Adam both took back some steps when they saw the man approach.

"Aw, I'm so hurt by you both. Why are you guys so cruel toward this small and poor sorcerer?" Kaleb faked crying, clutching his chest with his free hand while squeezing his eyes shut to try and get some tears out. Adam's eyebrows once again twitched, and having had enough, he turned toward the door and quickly twisted the doorknob. However, the door was locked, not willing to open.

Furrowing his eyebrows, the warrior turned back his body to face a Kaleb smiling innocently at them. Evan, seeing what happened, took hold of Kaleb's throat and lifted the man up in a choking grip.

"*cough* W-why so *cough* so much hate! I *cough* I only want to help you...*cough*" The man tried to speak while having his throat crushed, big fat drop of crocodile tears running down his chubby face. Both men remained unbothered by his dramatic antics, able to see through his act. The sorcerer was strong enough to free himself if he really wanted to.

He was playing with them.

"*cough* I surrender! *cough*" Kaleb said as a small white flag appeared in his free hand and he waved it quickly above his head. Evan glanced with the corner of his eyes at Adam, and when he got his master approval, he dropped Kaleb down without any mercy.

Evan took a step back, coming closer to his master, before draping one arm around Adam's waist. The slightly smaller man only raised one eyebrow at him before turning back toward the man gulping air before them, not even bothering to throw Evan's arm off. The added heat and weight wasn't really upsetting him, it was even kind of comforting.

When Kaleb finally stopped being a drama queen, he crawled until he reached Evan's feet, the latter looking down at him with apparent disgust. With a shaky arm, Kaleb rose the jar and the slave took it.

"You need to spread the powder on the tattoo, then it will disappear. That's all." The sorcerer said with difficult inhales, looking as if he was dying. In fact, when he had finished talking, the man dropped face down on the floor, turning his face to the side and making a 'gleh' sound as he stuck out his tongue and closed his eyes.

Adam and Evan glanced at each other, before staring back at Kaleb. When they saw that he wasn't going to move, they headed for the door, and magically, it was now unlocked when Adam tried to open it.

"W-wait, *inhale* you *exhale* need to leave *inhale* tips *exhale*" Kaleb said as he suddenly raised his head, before turning face down once again and playing dead. His fingers pointed shakily toward a corner, and when the couple turned there, they saw a small bowl with the number five on a carton sticking out of it.

Adam sighed before dropping the number of coins asked in the bowl. They then left the room, quickly shutting the door after them to avoid another Kaleb's resurrection.

The man had been... strange. Not quite what Adam expected from a great and powerful dark sorcerer. Even though darkness was a deviant magic, meaning it was supposedly weaker than natural elements like water or fire, it could still cast painful curses. It made Adam think of his ice attribute, which had always led him to be bullied by others.

He wondered if there was a way to make it stronger. Just like his sword training, maybe he just hadn't found what really fitted him?

Hey dear readers, short chapter before you know what *wink* *wink*
