The safest reaction would have been to pack their things and run away with Ash, but they wouldn't do that. Even if the little family was already convinced that Ash belonged with them, they couldn't force the child to stay with them, tearing him away from the village. It would be for his own good, of course, but it was still wrong.

So instead, they waited.

They all sat awkwardly in the small cave, their backs hunched and their long legs folded. After a few minutes of waiting for Ash to wake up though, Adam glanced at Evan, checking him up and down. The giant raised an eyebrow, silently asking his lover what he was playing at.

"Are you all fine now?" The warrior whispered as he came closer, his shoulder bumping awkwardly with Evan's. He didn't explain further, so the giant could only nod, wondering if the warrior wanted them to have some private time, but it wouldn't be like his lover to act like that in such a situation. Even he didn't feel like doing it right now, which was rare. Not to sound weird, but Evan could practically count the number of times he didn't feel like humping Adam on one hand since meeting him.

He was always down for making love with his beefy boyfriend, but not now. It seemed like his hedgehog's morals were starting to corrupt his own.

Seeing the giant nod at his question, Adam smiled before suddenly jumping on his bear's laps. Evan huffed at the sudden weight on his legs, his large hands coming to hold the warrior's wide hips nearly by habit as the man made himself at him on his laps, his back to Evan's chest and butt above his dick. He bent his legs to his chest, like the giant had been doing before his attack, and settled down.

"There, now we are taking less space." Adam whispered as he turned his face toward Evan, a teasing glint in his words. Evan could feel that there were no sexual intents in his acts, only a sort of childish playfulness. The giant chuckled, shaking his head at his lover's antics. Sometimes, he really had difficulties predicting his hedgehog's next moves.

Adam laughed, turning back to watch the kids.

His smile widened as he felt Evan's hands settle on top of his stomach in a tender embrace. He put his own on top, gently clasping their fingers together. Adam leaned back his head until it was resting comfortably in between Evan's shoulder and neck, a perfect spot for a head rest that Adam had discovered while he was riding Evan's dick from behind. The giant had loved holding his chest while pounding inside him from behind, the gravity always pulling Adam back into impaling himself on his dick.

The warrior shook out the dirty thoughts, not wanting to get an erection on such a serious occasion. That was the problem with Evan, each time they were close, they wanted to jump on each other like horny rabbits.

In this situation however, it wasn't the time, and Evan seemed to have understood it too because Adam could feel that the man was still soft while he would have gone hard before from having Adam's butt there.

Of course, Adam hadn't meant anything sexual when he sat there, he just wanted to feel close to his lover after nearly losing him, and it was the best position he could think of in such a close environment.

They spent a few hours like that, taking turns napping and checking the surroundings. Like Adam expected, the villagers weren't brave enough to go after them in case they had recovered, so they could enjoy their peaceful time together.

They still had to look out for wild beasts, but the cave they were in was pretty well hidden and with the addition of a few bushes near the entrance, they wouldn't be bothered.

As Blaze's stomach rumbled, making Adam wonder if he should go hunting or stay with the kids, they all saw Ash's body twitch. The trio froze, looking expectantly at the child as he rose from his sleep.

The shifter seemed to lament about a headache as he slowly woke up, trying to get up. With his eyes still closed, the kid didn't see Blaze just above him, nearly colliding face first with the fox. Luckily, Adam had put his hand on the kid's forehead to prevent agraving his headache.

Ash's eyes opened, widening as he saw that he was in a cave with the little family around him. He titled his head, confused as to why he was here, and why Adam's hand was still on his forehead. He sincerely thought that they would abandon him with the villagers and go back to traveling once the snake was taken care of.

Now, they had seemingly waited for him to wake up, and had even taken him away.

Ash had never been this confused.

Seeing the cute look on the child's face, Adam cooed, but his smile dropped when he saw the snake flinching at the sound. The kid looked at him with wide questioning eyes, not understanding what the noise was for. The warrior's jaw nearly broke with how tight he clenched his teeth.

He inhaled before exhaling, trying to regulate his breathing and avoid stressing the child further.

Sensing his lover's fury, Evan stroked his stomach, pecking him all over his shoulder and the side of his neck. He was mad as well, but he knew that it was to be expected from a child slave. Still, he knew that Adam hadn't fully understood yet what it meant to be sold as a slave so young.

After making sure that he was calm enough to be able to regulate his voice, Adam came closer to the snake, crouching down as much as he could to appear less intimidating. Children were often scared of his face, after all. Some had even started crying when meeting him for the first time, Ash was doing pretty good for now.

Blaze had also not been affected by his face, but it was mostly because he had rescued him.

Still, maybe it was a special trait of shifters?

Were they less easily scared?

Adam shook his head, getting rid of the questions and focusing on the child before him, looking as confused as if Adam had asked him to jump three times around a flower and then do a somersault.

Exactly that look.
