After leaving the dinner, they rented a room in an inn which assured good protection and privacy. Adam also made sure that the inn accepted pets because he didn't want to have to cause any more problems for Blaze and risk getting on the guards' bad side. After hiding their things in the room, the warrior didn't leave Evan any chance to continue the hot session they had started earlier and instead headed out of the room, avoiding the giant's rough hands and burning eyes.
He still had many things to do before night fell, then he could allow it.
Evan followed his master, staying one step behind so he could stare at his strong square shoulders, powerful waist and tempting bottom. As Adam sometimes glanced behind him at the giant or looked around, Evan could see his protuberant Adam's apple going up and down, making an urge to bite the man's throat arise. He also wanted to put his hands around the dark-skinned man's neck and choke him into submission, but he needed to hold back.
He had yet to receive permission to do anything.
He would wait until he got his master's consent, like a good slave. It was, after all, the most crucial step of their relationship.
The two partners entered the Adventurers' guild of Dispel, a giant batiment in the shape of a temple. There, a near complete silence greeted them. It wasn't because the adventurers had stopped talking after their entry, it was more because there weren't that many people in the guild in the first place.
Only a few parties of three to four were in the guild, looking at the quests' board or chatting with the receptionists. It was a great difference from Kesenka's Kingdom, where parties had to battle sometimes because there were too many demands for quests and too little work to give. Here, the board was nearly crumbling down from the weight of all the papers on it. It made sense, as few nobles resided in Dispel. Therefore, the quests on the board were mostly small quests or ones without a big reward. As they get stronger, adventurers would then head toward more powerful cities to get more money and renown. Some would even get hired by powerful nobles to guard their families, granting a life-time job to the adventurers with a high pay.
Still, Adam and Evan wouldn't complain. It meant more work for them and thus more rewards.
For now, they just wanted freedom, and a big city wouldn't give them that.
"We would like to transfer our adventurers' accounts from Kesenka to here." Adam said after exchanging greetings with the receptionist. He thought he would fall on Sylvie, the elf that befriended them in the Kesenka's guild, but it seemed like she had yet to arrive, or wasn't working today. Adam would have preferred talking with her, as he wasn't great at meeting new people and even less at holding a conversation.
"Sure, just give me a second." The young man behind the counter said, interrupting Adam's thoughts. His badge told him that he was named Lev and he was a dark elf. Elves were often hired as receptionists in adventurers' guilds as they possessed great communication skills, along with powerful abilities in magic, which would make them able to protect the guild if attacked. They were also all good looking, and this Lev wasn't an exception. He had ebony skin and dark purple eyes. His hair had been all shaved, and when the light hit his head at the right angle, it was possible to see black markings. Different from the Aleksy tribe, those marks helped the dark elves channel their magic and were mostly made with blood.
Contrary to their bad reputation, dark elves were mostly a peaceful race that didn't actively search for problems.
Lev took their adventurers' cards and scanned them. He then left, surely to look in the newly received files.
Adam felt a hand creep in the back of his shirt and held back from drop kicking the pervert, as he recognized his lover's rough hand just in time. The warrior slightly turned his body toward Evan, looking at him with a raised brow.
"Why were you looking at him so intently?" The giant asked, his voice a few octaves lower than normally. He didn't want to have a jealousy fit, but he truly felt like the way Adam was looking at Lev was weird. Still, he would hold back from bending the shorter man on the counter and forcefully taking him before everyone in the guild, as he knew it would lead to a cold war with his lover, in the most optimistic scenario.
"Oh, you saw?" Adam answered, truly not expecting his stares to have been so obvious. Evan froze before sliding the hand under Adam shirt up his back until he had a fistful of his hair. The giant tugged Adam's head back and backed him into the counter, using his board back to hide his lover's body from view as his shirt had ridden up to reveal his firm abdominal muscles and bouncy pectorals.
"W-wait! Evan, please calm down! It's not what you think!" Adam whispered-yelled to avoid attracting the other adventurers' attention. He had realized that his words could be misunderstood, and that it was exactly what happened with Evan. The giant looked at him with a dangerous glint in his eyes that spoke of punishment, and Adam didn't want to be punished.
Punishments hurt, that's one of the things he learned after being whipped and beaten to near death by his family's guards. He had also experienced starving and freezing for days. He didn't know what Evan had in mind for his punishment, but it would surely be worse than this.
Adam didn't want to suffer any longer, he was tired of being in pain.
Seeing the panicked look in Adam's eyes and hearing the way the warrior was starting to hyperventilate, Evan decided to be merciful for once, even if the warrior truly had been eyeing the elf. The giant released his master, putting him back on his feet and taking his hands off him.
Evan didn't want Adam to fear him. Or consider him as some sort of abusive monster.
He will need to make one thing clear to his lover today.
Evan wasn't like his own father, and would never be, that he could swear on his life.
Hey dear readers, why do you think Adam was looking at Lev?
Evan once again mentioned his father, maybe we will learn about him soon?
