Second update of the day, please make sure to read the first one before this one!

They ended up buying a good amount of clothes for Blaze, for any situation. There were warm clothes and light ones, most of them orange or black, like Blaze had wished for. The couple did have to guess the size based on what they had seen of the child's body, as they couldn't really let Blaze shift in the middle of the store to try them on, but they trusted their instincts.

The employee at the cashier did look at them like he was creeped out as he rang their clothes, but both men ignored him. It must truly have looked weird how two grown men were buying little boy clothes without any child in sight, but they were pretty much immune to others' view of them.

Even more so when they knew that they wouldn't see them for a good while.

After paying and putting away the clothes in their bags, the little family continued on their way to the front gate. As they saw the trio approach, the guards straightened their backs, trying to hide the nervous shivers of their hands betraying their true feelings. The captain of the guards poked out his head from his office as he received a secret signal. The guards had come up with a new procedure if the two men and their fox were ever spotted around the gate. It was the captain's duty to look after them now, to make sure that no mishap would happen.

The robust looking man hurried down the stairs like a child caught stealing, ready to face punishment as he took his position before the guards.

Adam stopped first a few meters away from the unit, flexing his hands as he readied himself for a battle. Looking at how nervous they were, they must have recognized his face on the Wanted poster. He did find it strange that no one had made the link for so long, as he didn't bother hiding his face at the beginning.

He truly did not wish to fight innocent guards, but he would make sure to avoid killing them or injuring them too much. Knocking them out would be a priority.

Evan stopped at his master's side, his eyes dark as he looked at the shivering guards. The captain gulped loudly before clearing his throat. Even Blaze felt the serious atmosphere and took on his fighting stance.

"Honorable adventurers, would you be kind enough to inform us of your destinations, and for how long you plan to be leaving, please? It is in our duties to note the comings and goings of travelers for security reasons. I'm begging you to help us do our work cleanly." The robust man said as he went on his knees, bowing before the stunned family of three. The guards behind the captain also went on their knees and screamed 'please'. Adam stumbled forward as he had been ready to attack the group, Evan reaching out to hold him back steadily. Blaze did not have this luck as he face-planted on the ground because of the surprise.

"Erm, we are leaving for good, toward the tropical forest. We won't come back for a while... Is that all?" Adam answered, changing his voice slightly to make it sound more raspy.

"Yes, thank you!" The captain shouted still on his knees, the guards behind him imitating his demeanour. Adam glanced back at Evan, only for the giant to stealthy shake his head. They were both equally confused.

Contrary to their expectations, they steadily left the town without any problems.

What they didn't know was that while they may not have been hiding their faces since the start, no one was brave enough to look them in the eyes, nor risk an eye-contact. In fact, people had no clear idea of what the two men looked like, they only remembered the intimidating aura and the cold sweat soaking their backs each time they met the powerful couple.

Even the guards checking their adventurers cards at the entry only glanced at the card and faked the rest of the verification, not wanting to bring trouble to themselves.

It would be a phenomenon quite popular as the couple traveled from town to town, their reputation as ruthless adventurers with a pet fox spreading wide across the country. However, they would only learn of this much later.

For now, the family was busy fighting off monsters on their path as they headed toward the Aleksy's tribe, where Adam hoped he would get answers, and more power. They traveled for a day, always on their guards, before finally settling on a spot for the night. They had gotten pretty far from Dispel, even on foot. They couldn't risk buying horses to travel, as it would be more inconvenient. All three of them had good stamina, and they wanted to take this opportunity to travel slowly so as to be able to bond better.

It would also be quite sad if the horse was afraid of foxes. It wouldn't last long in their group.

Which was why Adam was currently groaning in pain as Evan massaged his feet, their camp having been set up in a minimal amount of time. They had bought a small tent for some intimacy, but nothing else. Blaze was more than happy with a bed made from rolled up clothes, outside the tent upon Evan's request, and they had brought enough dry food for the journey.

They may have to hunt sometimes on the way, but they had Blaze to light up a fire, so they don't need anything else.

"How did you manage to injure yourself so fast..." Evan mumbled as he applied the ice Adam had created on the warrior's right ankle. The shorter man had been unlucky enough to step on a rock in the middle of a fight, and twisted his ankle. It was only a minor injury that would be healed once tomorrow morning came, but it still hurt. It had gotten slightly worse as he still had to walk until they found a good resting spot.

"I was too focused on the stupid orc." The warrior answered, embarrassed to have made such a newbie mistake. In truth, he may have also been distracted by the giant's naked upper body twisting with power as he rained punches on the monster's body... but he wouldn't admit that. Evan had been in the middle of cleaning the sweat off of his shirt in a river, Adam drinking on the side, when the orc had attacked. Which explained the shirtless fighting and the distraction that led to the injury.

Adam swore in his mind to have more pure thoughts in the future and to not be as tempted.

Evan's eyebrows furrowed as he felt that his master was lying to him, but he could also feel that it wasn't with bad intentions. His little hedgehog was simply too shy. Realizing this, the slave had an inkling on what could have caused the injury, and a small smirk stretched his lips at the thought of his body being this tempting to his lover.

He would be more cautious in the future, lest his tomato injured himself worse.
