Chapter 11 • Date (Enemies)

-Y/N's POV (Enemies)-
After my conversation with Dream, I told him I wanted to be alone again. So, he respected my wishes and left the room.

I ended up shedding a few more tears all alone for the rest of the night. I finally managed to fall asleep by 4am.

When my alarm woke me up at 10am, I turned to my side and grabbed my phone, tapping the screen rapidly to shut the annoying noise off. Once it was silenced, I noticed a notification on my lock screen.

Catherine posted a new photo on Instagram.

"Were we that good of friends that I had to have her notifications on?" I thought while cringing.

Curiously, I slid open the post.

The post she made had an old photo of her as a child. Her mother was holding her in her lap, both of their smiles were wide.

In the caption, Catherine wrote how much she loved her mom, what a good mother she was, and how much she missed her. She told everyone that she'd be taking a break from streaming until she was healed some over her dead mother.

That last sentence made a realization occur.

"Wait a minute, Catherine started streaming when Sapnap and I started dating...so why has she been a streamer the same time I have??" I thought while squishing my eyebrows together.

Desperate for answers, I quickly texted Niki, since I knew she would have the answers.

Y/N:
Hey I know you're probably upset with me for smashing cake in Catherine's face last night but I had my reasons, I'll tell you later.
Quick question, how did Catherine join the SMP and how did she meet Sapnap?

After a few minutes, she replied.

NIKI:
you don't remember?

Y/N:
No I do just refresh my memory

NIKI:
alright.
they met the same day you joined the SMP.
after your first stream, sapnap was gonna stay home but he decided to go out to buy you a welcome present for joining the server since you two hit it off instantly.
when he went out, he met Catherine at the store and they hit it off instantly too.
then he asked her to join the server too.
he knew she would bring good vibes to everyone.
you and Catherine hit it off instantly as well and became best friends.

My expression fell, reading the words on my screen.

In the original timeline, the first day Sapnap met me, since we were enemies before, he instantly found me annoying, so he stayed home to relax from talking to me. But now, since we never were enemies, he didn't stay home to relax, he went out to get me something, and ended up meeting Catherine.

They met because of me. They're dating because of me. It was all me.

I released a frustrated breath out then texted Niki back, saying thank you, then I slammed my phone down on the comforter and began even more self hatred talk in my brain over my dumb life decisions.

That was, until George entered the room. He met my eyes with a light smile.

GEORGE:
"Hey, could we talk?" He asked quietly.

Y/N:
"S—Sure..." I raised my eyebrows.

My best friend took a seat next to me on the bed.

GEORGE:
"Um so...last night we uh...kissed..." He said awkwardly, I nodded, "What are we now...?"

I swallowed hard and began to think about my plan. It could still work, it would just take time and effort. So, I lied my ass off and put on my acting skills.
