Chapter 12 • Go (Enemies)

-Y/N's POV (Enemies)-
I stayed in the park for the rest of the day, sitting alone under that tree, on top of that blue plaid picnic blanket, thinking about how yet again, I made poor life decisions.

When it became night time, I still stayed put. I held my knees to my chest while gazing up at the stars in the pitch black sky. The moonlight was shining off of my face, as I laid my left cheek against my knee with a frown.

Suddenly, I heard some noise behind me. The type of noise that someone would make when they walked on grass.

I shot my head around to see it was Sapnap.

He had his hands placed in his pockets while clenching his jaw with a frown. I swallowed hard at him. We stared at each other for a few moments, until he spoke.

SAPNAP:
"I don't like who I'm becoming..." He admitted.

I bit the inside of my cheek while turning my head back, ignoring him. Nick slowly stepped forward and took a seat next to me on the blanket.

Sapnap rested his arms on his knees while glancing out at the distance.

SAPNAP:
"I'm sorry for pushing you today..." He apologized in a low voice.

Y/N:
"Why did you...?" I whispered while looking ahead of me.

SAPNAP:
"I lost my cool because you kept going on about Catherine, saying all these degrading things about her." He looked at me, "I'm happy, Y/N...I'm happy with her..."

That sentence made me shut my eyes. I physically felt my heart breaking.

SAPNAP:
"Why can't you just be happy for me...?" He frowned.

I swallowed hard while clenching my jaw, slowly opening my eyes.

SAPNAP:
"Why do you have to take your anger out on us when we didn't do anything...??"

I bit my lip while slowly nodding, staring hard at the grass.

Y/N:
"You're right..." I whispered, "You two didn't do anything..."

"It was me who made the choice to join Dream with that stupid stone. My decisions are my fault." I thought.

SAPNAP:
"What's been going on with you...?" He asked quietly.

I shook my head while huffing out a smile.

Y/N:
"Too much to say...I know you hate me so...what's the point..."

SAPNAP:
"Y/N...I don't hate you, okay? I hate how you've been rude to me and my girlfriend."

Y/N:
"You're right..." I admitted, "I've been rude to you and Catherine...it wasn't fair for me to mention her mom...it wasn't fair for me to throw everything in your face...it wasn't fair of me to, physically, throw cake in her face..."

Sapnap sighed.

Y/N:
"I'm sorry..." I pressed my lips together with a whisper, finally meeting his eyes, "I'm sorry..."

I said it twice so he knew I truly meant it.

Y/N:
"I haven't been myself...I don't like who I'm becoming either...and if I'm being honest, I don't know how to get back to normal...my life was normal for the longest time and now..." I bit the inside of my cheek while shaking my head.

SAPNAP:
"Y/N...if you told me what was going on with you, I could understand better and, I could help..."

I shook my head again with a frown. Nick sighed in response.
