-CLAY's POV (Falling For A Fan)-
Something happened.

When mine and Y/N's son woke up, I went to go get him, but when I came back to my office, Y/N was no where in sight. It wouldn't be strange, but it was, because she wasn't anywhere in the house either.

After setting our son down in his crib, I jogged across our home, calling out my wife's name, but she never answered. Quickly, I looked in the garage to see if she left, but she never did. Y/N's car was still parked inside, and her car keys were still on the rack.

I ran into the backyard, and into the street, now shouting her name in worry, but again, no one answered me.

It was like she vanished into thin air.

Worriedly, I dialed her number and held the phone up to my ear. Sadly, Y/N left her phone placed on my desk in the office. I sighed in defeat, and tried reassuring myself to not overthink.

"She probably went to go speak to the neighbors." I told myself, half believing it because my gut was telling me it was more than that.

So, I fed our son his morning bottle, and hung out with him for a few hours, until the realization caught up with me that my wife still wasn't back yet from wherever she went.

Nervously, I dialed Lia's number to get some answers. After a few moments, she answered.

LIA:
"Hiii."

CLAY:
"Hey, is Y/N with you?"

LIA:
"No. I've been with Skylar all day so Nick and George can have some 'bro time'." She chuckled.

CLAY:
"Oh..." I didn't hide my disappointment.

LIA:
"Why do you ask?"

CLAY:
"Well...Y/N was in my office one minute, and once I came back, she was nowhere to be found. She's not outside, nor inside, and she left her phone here. It's been hours..." I frowned.

LIA:
"Maybe she's planning a surprise for you. One time, I went MIA on Nick when I was trying to surprise him with the news about Skylar." She gasped, "WHAT IF Y/N IS DOING THE SAME THING—"

My eyes widened as my heart fell.

CLAY:
"N—No, she wouldn't go off for hours...would she??"

LIA:
"AM I GONNA BE AN AUNTIE AGAIN AHHHH—" She screamed over the phone.

CLAY:
"Okay thank you buh bye—" I quickly hung up.

Lia did quite the opposite of what I wanted. Instead of reassuring me, she filled me with even more anxiety.

"Liam is only a year old...two kids under two...? Oh boy..." I thought while sighing nervously.

Sadly, Lia's assumption made sense. But there was no way Y/N and I were ready for another child so soon. We wanted to wait at least 3 years before having another.

So, while staring at my son, playing with his toys on the floor in front of me, I spoke.

CLAY:
"I hope your Mama comes back soon...I also hope your Aunt Lia is wrong..." I bit the inside of my cheek.

I loved Y/N with all of my heart, along with our son. But, Y/N had a difficult pregnancy before. She was constantly emotional, uncomfortable, and once Liam was born, she was still both of those things. It was a difficult start for both of us.
