"Get the fuck out of the water" He yelled at them
"This again, is he obsessed with you or something, fuck sake" Cormac pushed her off of him. Rhiannon was traumatized, she didn't know what she was doing. "Don't fucking push her" Draco yelled at him, Cormac got out of the water, walking up to Draco. She covered her chest and walked out of the water "What the hell were you doing to her Cormac? I heard her saying no! And why is she half naked you creep?"
"Oh she wanted it Malfoy"
"Well technically you just did it" She but in, shaking in fear "So you tried taking advantage of her?. You're dead" Draco pulled his wand out, pointing it at Cormac "Both of you stop it" She stood between them "Did you do anything else other that she didn't like? I swear to god Cormac" Draco was furious, she had never seen that much anger in his eyes before, why did he care so much. "And if I did? What are you going to do?"
"Did you?" Draco asked again, with more depth in his tone "Yes" Cormac smiled like he won a trophy "Im going to fucking kill you Cormac"
"Draco stop" She yelled, he looked over at her, dropping his head down, lowering his wand  "Fine, I'll let you go, if I ever see you near her again, you won't walk away" Cormac grabbed his clothes and walked up to Rhiannon "Good luck finding a date to the ball"
"Fuck off, before I change my mind" Draco yelled at him as Cormac stormed off "Now you," Draco walked up to her, grabbing her shirt and handing it to her, she quickly grabbed it, turning around to put it on. Draco felt so angry with her. She turned back around and his eyes were glossy and his jaw twitched as he clenched it. His face looked so hurt, like he had just been betrayed "Why?" He asked, shaking his head "What? am I not allowed to be a human and kiss a boy?"
"You are, just not him, Rhiannon he was assaulting you! I hear you yell stop! You need stop putting yourself in such stupid situations and maybe things won't happen to you"
"What is that supposed to mean"
"Everything you do always has some bullshit behind it, smarten up"
"Fuck you Draco. I was fine"
"No, Fuck you okay, all I do I worry if you are safe or if you are with that fucking idiot, I'm glad I got him kicked off the team"
"You did what?"
"Nothing" He knew he screwed himself after saying that "You just said you got him kicked off the team, it was you?"
"No, you do not know what you're talking about!"
"You just told me, you told Dumbledore he cheated and now he got kicked off, you lied, what the fuck is your deal?"
"I was angry about him kissing you okay"
"You are so selfish, what I do is not your concern"
"You're one to talk"
"Oh really, how am I selfish?"
"If you didn't snap like a crazy bitch, your parents would be alive" She stepped back and her eyes widened , tears started to form, her heart was broken hearing him speak to her like that. Tears ran down her face as she just stared at him "Rhiannon I-" Draco's face instantly went from angry to worried, before he could finish, she pushed into him, running into the forest. "Rhiannon!" She could hear him yell faintly behind her as she ran. She didn't hesitate to go back, she just kept running until she couldn't anymore. She dropped to her knees, crying hysterically, her heart shattered into a million pieces, she placed her hand on her chest to try and steady her heart. He was so sweet when her parents died and now he was using it against her, she would never forgive him. She didn't want to go back, but it was so cold, she was only in her underwear and a shirt. As she sat on the cold ground, holding her knees to my chest with her head between them. She heard something in the distance, she started to get flashbacks from what happened last time she entered the forest alone, she was scared she was going to get attacked again so she slowly turned her head and saw a huge winged creature, It was so beautiful, slowly standing up, she remained very still in case the creature wasn't friendly "Hello there" The creature walked closer to her. "Are you friendly?" She asked the creature, It made a sound she had heard coming from the forest before, it was so graceful but eerie. The creature just stood there, staring, she could sense it was just seeking a friend. She slowly walked up to the creature, putting her hand out, waiting for it to make the next move, then she felt the beak touch her hand as it bowed to her. She remembered studying those things, Thestrals, they were amazing creatures. "You are just lonely, that's all" She petted the creature "That makes the both of us" She lowered her head, crying, feeling the head of the Thestral touch hers as if it was comforting her, like it understood her. It started to make a humming sound, then a baby one walked over and stood next to the bigger one
"Is this your baby? are you their mother?" Ir hummed back "Your baby is beautiful" Seeing that made her think of her mom."Do you have a name?" The Thestral shook her head no "Oh, well, I shall call you Ezra, how's that?" She lifted her wings "Okay, Ezra, how about your baby? girl or boy?"
"Boy?" She nodded her head "Alright his name will be Arlo" Ezra seemed pleased with that "Well, I should probably head back and try to get warm, Arlo, make sure you stay by your mother okay?" She kneeled to his level, he rubbed his head on her legs and hummed to her "Ezra, I will be back eventually, hopefully" She patted her beak and walked out of the forest, walking back to the castle."Rhiannon, what are you doing out here, and where are yah clothes, it is freezing, its almost winter"
"Hagrid hi! it's too much to explain"
"Are you alright, you look like you've been crying"
"Just upset about my parents, thats all" That was not all "Yeah I heard about that, Im sorry for yah loss"
"Thank you Hagrid, can I hang at your house for a while, I kind of don't want to go back there yet"
"Sure of course you can, I'll get you some clothes as well" They walked into his hut "Rhiannon can you start to fire for me" She stepped in front of the fireplace, waved her hand over the wood, flames started to form, she blew lightly on it, making the flames bigger "Well, that will do it" Hw laughed "Yeah I'm learning lots lately about my powers"
"I can see that, well, here are some fresh clothes, I have extras just in case students need"
"Thank you, Hagrid" Hagrid left the room so she could get dressed, then returned with some tea "Here yah go" He handed her a cup "Thank you Hagrid...I came across a Thestral and her baby when I was in the forest"
"Did you now?! They are beautiful creatures"
"You can see them?"
"Yes"
"Who have you seen die may I ask?"
"Many people, but my father was the most memorable"
"Oh, I'm sorry"
"No worries, it's been forever since then, doesn't hurt me anymore eh"
"Well, it was odd, they understood me"
"What do you mean?"
"I was talking to her, she was responding to what I would ask, is that normal?"
"That's quite rare for someone to be able to speak to creatures, have you spoken to any other creature or animal before"
"Oh yes, there was this one time when I was little, my mom would take me to the park and I would always play with wild bunnies and birds, I could hear their thoughts and they understood me"
"Interesting"
"Yeah, it was awesome" I start to get emotional about the memories I had with my mom. I always had a very strong connection with my mom.
"I bet, If you don't mind me asking, why do you not want to go back to school"
"Oh, I just was having a hard time, that's all" That was a lie
"Don't lie to me Rhiannon, I know there is more to the story"
"Fine, me and Draco were fighting, and he hurt my feelings because he was being a Malfoy and used my pain against me"
"Oh, don't waste tears on him, he is his father's son after all"
"Yeah, but I thought he was different Hagrid, It is odd"
"Yeah that's a Malfoy for yah, do you like Draco? Is that why it's affecting you so bloody much"
"Oh, no way, me like Draco, yeah no" She nervously laughed as she sipped her tea "Are you sure bout that?"
"Yes Hagrid, I'm sure" She really wasn't sure actually "Alright then"
"I should probably head back to the school, Hermione is probably going to rip me a new one, thank you for the clothes and tea".
"Anytime, stop by whenever yah need, I will be here" She left his hut and went back to the school. She snuck back into the school, heading to Hermione's dorm because she didn't want to be alone. She entered the common room and saw them all sitting at the sofa "Hey guys" She said
"Rhiannon, we need to talk" Hermione shot up
"About?"
"You know what" Ron but in "Why were you with Cormac?" Hermione crossed her arms "How do you know that?"
"Well, I told you, you can't trust him he came in here blabbing about how you and him were doing you know what in the lake, then Draco came and picked a fight with him"
"I don't know what to say guys"
"How about an apology"
"And why would I do that?"
"Because you promised me you wouldn't see him anymore, quite frankly, I'm with Draco on this surprisingly"
"Oh really, how about you ask me what Draco did as well"
"What?"
"He used my dead parents against me while he argued with me, he went off on me for being with Cormac"
"Well, obviously he went too far but he has a point Rhiannon, Cormac isn't a good guy"
"You don't know anything, Hermione, okay!" She shouted at her "Watch your mouth, you don't know what Hermione has gone through" Ron yelled back at her "Shut up Ron," Rhiannon started on him now "You want to go" He tried walking toward her but Hermione stopped him "Guys stop it" Hermione begged "Well, tell me Hermione, why do you hate him so much, why do you care what I do with him?"
"Come on tell her," Harry said "Fine, In the fifth year Cormac tried to kiss me and I declined, but he kept trying and got more aggressive so I punched him in the face. He went off and told the whole school that he kissed me and did other "things" with me. I tried to confront him and he just made me look crazy, I just don't want him to do the same with you" Hermione started to tear up "Oh, Hermione, I had no idea, I'm sorry" She walked up to her, hugging Hermione "I just care about you Rhiannon and I just do not want to see you hurt"
"I know, I promise I will stay away from him okay, I am sorry" She looked over at Ron from behind Hermione's shoulder "Im sorry to you too"
"Yeah yeah, Im sorry too" He looked down "Are we all good now"
"Yes, but you still did stuff with him"
"Hermione, I can promise we didn't do it"
"Do you promise"
"Yes, Draco stopped it before it could escalate"
"Im glad he did"
"Yeah, but Draco broke my heart saying that about my parents, I don't know why his words affected me so much, they just hit me like a truck you know, it's confusing"
"I know, Im sorry he said that" Hermione held her hands "Do you think he has got a little crush on you?" Harry smiled "NO, why do people keep thinking that"
"Well, he is always around you, he saved you from Cormac twice now, saved your life and he even blew off all the other girls, except you" Harry told her "Really?" She smiled "Yes, just do not tell him I was talking about him, me and him don't get along"
"I won't, I don't pay attention to anything it seems"
"Well, to us anyway it seems like Draco likes to be a tad protective over you"
"I don't know why"
"No clue"
"Well, thanks for the information Harry"
"Anytime"
"Hermione do you think I could sleep over? I do not want to be alone tonight"
Before she could answer, they heard a voice say Rhiannon's name, she turned around and saw Cormac leaning against the wall at the bottom of the stairs with a smug look on his face "Can we talk?" He asked "No"
"Oh right, Granger fed you the story about me and now you hate my guts, wha wha, I heard everything" He walked down the stairs toward Rhiannon "Cormac, I don't want to talk to you, you are a terrible human being. I'm glad I am not going to the ball with you"
"Seriously, I tried to ignore people who called you crazy, but now I see why. And you think Draco likes you? You're delusional, he had talked so much shit about you it's not even funny"
"Hey you watch your mouth" Ron walked up to him "What are you going to do, you're just as pathetic and weak as her"
"OH, you think I'm weak?" She stepped in front of Ron "Yes, I do"
"You want me to prove you wrong"
"Rhiannon don't" Hermione whispered "No, let her prove me wrong" Cormac crossed his arms
"If you say so" She held her hand out in front of her and lifted him into the air and started to spin him like a basketball with her other hand while he floated in the air, begging for her to stop, Ron and Harry laughed at him, Hermione did like it, she just didn't want to admit it since she was a goodie two shoes. "Have I proved you wrong yet?" She asked him as he yelled for her to stop "Yes let me down you crazy bitch" She dropped him on the ground, he stood up, getting in her face "Yes Cormac?"
"You're crazy just like Granger, I wasted my time on both of you" Hearing that boiled her blood, she would not let him speak about Hermione that way "Take that back. You can call me whatever you want but you will not disrespect my best friend" She clenched her jaw "No, why would I lie, she is crazy and so are you" She balled her hands into fists, her hands were starting to glow white. Hermione pulled her away before Cormac could question it and hid Rhiannon behind her back "What the hell was that?" Cormac yelled as Hermione took her away, Rhiannon quickly tried to calm them down. "Cormac just piss off okay, you saw nothing, maybe you are the crazy one" Ron pushed him "I saw her hands, they were glowing"
"You didn't see anything, now go" Harry stood in the way "Fine, but I know what I saw" He walked back upstairs "Are you okay" Hermione asked her
"Yeah I'm sorry, I was getting really angry" She looked down at her hands "You have to be carful with that, people will talk"
"I know, I wasn't thinking" She sat down on the sofa, Harry walked up to me "Hey since you are free for the ball now, would you like to go together, as friends of course"
"I guess so"
"Brilliant" He smiled "Well, me and Rhiannon are going to head to bed now, you boys sleep well, we are going shopping tomorrow, remember"
"I do not have money" Rhiannon said as she stood up "Don't worry, it's covered by the school"
"Okay great" They went upstairs. "Do you want to cuddle Hermione"
"Yes please" She giggled "I'll take the end of the bed"
"Okay, just don't kick my head during the night" Rhiannon nudged Hermione's arm
"I can't promise anything" They make the bed "So, what exactly did Draco do when he caught you and Cormac?" Hermione grabbed an extra blanket from her closet for Rhiannon "Well, he did lots, he found out about him kissing me earlier that day and he went crazy saying he will kill him if he ever touched me again, then he caught us and pulled out his wand, he was freaking out on him, for a second I thought he was going to kill him , then he was arguing with me"
"What exactly did he say?"
"He said if I didn't snap like a crazy bitch my parents would be alive, something like that"
"That's harsh, Im sorry, but Rhiannon, I think Harry is right, Draco acts odd when you're around, he is not himself if you know what I mean, he is more soft and gentle in a way"
"Don't get me wrong, he is cute, like mysterious and sexy" Rhiannon flopped down on the bed "Ew, I'm going to vomit" Hermione gagged and threw a pillow at Rhiannon "Oh give me a break, you're telling me you don't think that about Ron?"
"What do you mean" Hermione got defensive, smacking the pillows as she laid them on the bed
"Hermione, I see the way you look at him, why don't you just do it with him already"
"Don't be silly, he doesn't like me"
"You sure?" They both laid on the bed, staring at the ceiling "Why, do you have powers that can tell if someone likes someone?"
"That I do not have but I would love that, but I do know I don't need powers to sense that you and Ron are meant to be"
"You are funny" She nervously laughed "Im serious" Rhiannon sat up on the bed and so did Hermione, they faced each other and Hermione's face was beat red "Has he asked you to the ball yet?" She asked "No"
"Ask him then"
"NO, I'm too scared, plus he probably asked someone else"
"I bet he is waiting for you to ask because he is scared"
"I don't know what to say to him, If I ask I'll probably freeze up"
"You? Freeze up? Hermione you always know what to say"
"Well I like him, I always have"
"Then I will tell you what to say"
"How exactly?"
"Remember, the time I told you something, telepathically"
"Oh yeah, I forgot, you would do that? for me?"
"Of course, you're my best friend "
"You are a lifesaver" Hermione leaned over and hugged her "We should get to bed, it's pretty late"
"Okay, goodnight Rhiannon"
"Goodnight Hermione" Rhiannon laid there, staring at the ceiling, wishing her and Draco didn't have that argument, she understood he was angry with her for not listening to him but he couldn't control her. It was just the way she always wanted to piss him off just so their conversations would last longer started to crush her, because she knew he liked having the last word like a child, It hurt her when he said that cruel stuff. She just couldn't forgive him, well, not anytime soon. She could tell he regretted what he said when he saw her starting to cry. She should have listened to him though, he was right about Cormac and so was Hermione. She knew she never made the best choices, she was just so lost with herself because of what had happened recently, he had been there for it all, he saved her life after all and he even beat up a guy for her and threatened to kill him, he did care about her, he just couldn't show it when they were face to face.
