She walked through the halls, trying to hurry as fast as she could to try and find a lavatory to change in, but, as expected the castle was huge and she already had wasted so much time it felt like. She walked down further and came across two boys that looked around her age she assumed. "Um excuse me, can you tell me where the lavatory is" They both turned their heads and looked at her with annoyed looks on their faces
"Who are you? you seem a little old for this to be your first year"
"Yeah, I have no idea why I am here exactly, this place seems nice though"
"Must be a mud-blood by the looks of her, hey Blaise!" They both laughed "Okay?, well I just need to change alright can you please just tell me where the lavatory is" Anger flooded through her veins, she knew they were being rude even though she had no idea what Mud blood meant.
"Alright, it's just down the corridor to the left, after the sorting ceremony if you are not a Slytherin you better watch your back and I won't be telling you where the lavatory is next time" They both walked away. She tried to not let those boys get to her, they were the most annoying and enticing people on the planet, they made her so angry for some reason. She needed to work on her anger issues. She finally entered the girl's lavatory, making sure there wasn't anyone in there so she could change into the uniform without using the gross toilet stall. She got undressed and put on the uniform, a short grey skirt with grey knee-high socks and a white dress shirt with a matching grey vest. After she got her uniform on and put on black shoes and robe, she brought a hair clip with her that would make her feel more like herself while wearing that ridiculous uniform, in a place where she felt like she didn't belong, as much as she felt like she didn't belong, she still couldn't get used to that feeling. She put her hair and walked outside to find Hagrid waiting. "There you are, you need to get to the Great Hall, follow me" Hagrid walked her to a pair of huge doors, there were lots of chatter and laughter coming from the other side, Hagrid opened the doors with ease and without hesitation
"Go on then," He shooed her in, pushing her front behind, before she could refuse entering, the doors slammed closed, leaving her alone and scared. The whole room went silent, she looked around and forced herself to walk down the long aisle of students to get to the front of the room and all she could feel were hundreds of eyes piercing her. "Ah, yes Rhiannon Black step up here please, you're a little late that's all right, hurry, sit" A man with a long bread and who looked to be 100 years old rushed her up the stairs. She walked up and turned around to sit on the stool. A woman appeared from the corner of her eye, she was wearing a long green cloak and a big pointy hat, she did indeed look like a witch.
"Hello, Miss Black, Im Professor McGonagall, I will place this on your head and he will tell you your house" She still had no idea what any of this meant, as she looked through the hundreds of faces staring at her, she locked eyes with a boy who stood out from the rest of the faces surprisingly. Maybe it was his icy blonde hair that caught her eye. Out of nowhere, the hat was placed on her head making her lose eye contact with that boy. As the hat rested on her head, she just listened to what the hat was saying, it really must be real, this whole witch and wizard thing."Hmm, let's see what we are working with, very intelligent, very powerful, almost too powerful for a young woman, but also very strong-hearted, pure soul" The hat shouted "It feels like your abilities are far stronger for a muggle-born but it seems like you will know what to do in the end, I have to say.....RAVENCLAW" Everyone started clapping except the table with the platinum blonde boy who had a staring problem. She stood up and the robes changed to blue and black."Rhiannon go take a seat at this table" Dumbledore pointed to the table with kids in black and blue robes. She awkwardly sat down and from where she was sitting, she could see that boy, he wouldn't stop looking at her from across the table, every time she would look up, he was staring. After some time, it was supper and she had zero appetite. Fatigue was all she felt and just overwhelmed with everything. Her hair clip was bothering her so she took it out and placed it on the table, as she fixed her hair, running her slender fingers through it, she felt eyes on her, staring was a given in this situation but the stare felt strong. She looked up and saw the blonde boy staring again, but this time he had a desired look, a look of pure hunger, he then slowly looked away, shaking his head. Rhiannon didn't think much of it, it had been a long night and she just wanted to sleep so she could just get some answers about this whole thing tomorrow.
"Alright students it's time for rest, especially new students, you will be going to Hogsmeade for school supplies, off to bed" Dumbledore warned the children. McGonagall approached Rhiannon "Miss Black I will show you and the Ravenclaw students to your common room and dorms"
She stood up and followed, completely forgetting the hair clip.*
He watched as she ran her fingers through her long black hair and it just did something to him. He couldn't be having these thoughts about a new student, let alone a mud blood. "Alright students it's time for rest, especially new students, you will be going to Hogsmeade for school supplies, off to bed" He watched her leave but noticed she forgot her hair clip. "Come on Draco," Goyle said as he got up from the table "Just give me a second, I need to talk to Snape, you guys go on," Draco responded while getting up from the table, walking over to where that Rhiannon girl was sitting. He picked up her hair clip, making sure no one saw him do so. On the way to the common room he was battling his thoughts, like he had the devil on one shoulder and an angel on the other. He kept getting angry with himself, hesitating to just throw it away. He entered the Slytherin common room and ran into the other guys "Draco come hang with us! we stole some fire whiskey" Blaise yelled from across the room "Not tonight alright," He walked up the stairs and grabbed a piece of parchment and some ink, then took the hair clip out of his pocket and placed it on the table, grabbing the quill and started writing: "Are you forgetting something? Luckily I grabbed it, be more careful next time. As he wrote this, he wondered if it was too nice or too mean, he didn't know why that thought came to mind, it just felt like he needed to bring his true self back instead of being soft like this. He grabbed the hair clip and note, called his owl and put both in the owl's beak "Take this to the girl's dorm in Ravenclaw Tower," He told his owl.

After McGonagall left, she tried to get ready for bed and got undressed and put on a really cute white lace nightgown that fell to her thighs. She was still scared about what could happen to her being here and she just missed her parents so much. She laid down in bed, her eyes started to tear up from worrying if her parents just sent her off to some boarding school without saying anything, or if they didn't want her anymore. All these thoughts raced through her head. After trying to fall asleep she got up to open the window to get some air, she stared out the window, the sky was dark and trillions of stars shined, she was a far aways from home. She backed up and sat on the floor next to her bed, putting her head between her knees, crying quietly. All of a sudden she heard something land on the window sill, her eyes quickly look up and saw an owl holding a piece of parchment it looked like. She stood up and walked toward it, the owl leaned forward "Is this for me?" She asked grabbing the note and opening it "Are you forgetting something? Luckily I grabbed it, be more careful next time" She looked at the owl and she saw her hair clip she was wearing earlier that she must have forgotten somewhere. She tried to find some parchment in the dorm room, she grabbed some ink and started to write this person back: "Well thank you, whoever you are, this made me feel better:)" She wondered if that was too weird to say back or if the smiley face was too much, but who could this be? someone had to of seen her leave it somewhere. She walked over to the owl "Take this to whoever sent you, please" The owl flew away, she tried to watch where the owl was going, but the owl disappeared into the dark sky. Rhiannon sat on the bedside facing the window, wanting a write-back from this person, she just wanted to talk to someone to distract her from what was going on and the thoughts about her parents.

After sending his owl, he felt guilty for doing the right thing, he never gave something back after taking it, he didn't know what is wrong with him, or why he was letting some girl control the way he felt. He couldn't let others know or find out he gave that hair clip back to a mud blood. He laid down in bed, staring at the ceiling, worrying about the note, and sort of hoping for a write-back. Rhiannon, what an odd name he thought. As be laid there, waiting for his owl to return, he flew right into the room and landed on the bedpost, Draco noticed a note in his beak, he sat up and quickly grabbed the note"Well thank you, whoever you are, this made me feel better:)" it read "What's that Draco?" A voice said from the stairs, Draco shot his head up, it was Goyle of course, he never knew how to mind his own business. "Nothing, go away Goyle," Draco quickly put the note in his side drawer and then laid back down, trying to go to sleep.
