However, Si Nan did not fall asleep.

He tried to make his mind a state of complete emptiness, as if he were a fish swimming in the deep sea, slowly entering meditation, capturing fragmented and cotton-like pieces from the depths of his memory.

"...The naturally weak must be protected..."

"Run, run quickly!"

"The humiliation suffered today will be repaid twice in the future!..."

"Tell your superior to come out," a figure appeared in the wind, standing in front of a high iron gate, and said coldly, "I have something to discuss with him."

In the next moment, a man with an indistinct face walked towards him. Before he could speak, he was punched in the face, causing his nose to bleed and he fell backward!

Running, cursing, and the cacophony of voices, countless soldiers tried to stop him, but to no avail. Suddenly, the scene changed, and a faint light leaked through a narrow window slit in the small solitary confinement room, casting a cold shadow on the concrete stone platform. He sat on the edge of the bed with his coat on, palms pressed together, fingertips against his forehead. Suddenly, there was a rapid running and the sound of keys clashing outside the door.

He stood up, and the door opened.

"An internal outbreak has occurred, and the laboratory can't be secured... the security perimeter has collapsed, and a car is waiting for you outside. Come with me quickly..."

He took a titanium alloy cooler and walked out of the solitary confinement room. At the end of the corridor, a faint light turned into stars, and he walked along the endless path that seemed to lead to nowhere.

Never reaching the end...

The armored vehicle suddenly slammed on the brakes, and Si Nan's body was thrown forward, waking him up.

In an instant, he was face to face with the densely packed zombies outside the car window. He heard the driver yelling, "Arrive at the destination! Quickly, clear the way! The people inside are ready to receive us!"

The vehicle-mounted machine gun on the roof shot out a blazing tongue of fire, and Zhou Rong took off his coat and was left with just a black vest. His insulating gloves were scalded by the gun barrel as he took turns firing to drive back the zombies at the intersection.

However, there were too many zombies crowding the central commercial street, and after clearing wave after wave, it was like a sea of zombies as far as the eye could see. All the team members climbed to the roof of the car to provide fire support, but they could barely clear a few meters of space, allowing the armored vehicle to move slowly through the sea of corpses.

This traffic speed was extremely dangerous, reminiscent of a rush-hour traffic jam. The vehicle almost tipped over several times, and several team members shouted in panic, almost being dragged off the car by the zombies.

Zhou Rong shouted through the intercom, "Engie, come up for fire support! I'll take the wheel!"

The driver opened the roof window, climbed onto the roof, and Zhou Rong slid down from the driver's seat, stepping on the gas pedal with all his might!

With a loud bang, the armored vehicle surged forward, sweeping countless zombies under the car. At this moment, there was a loud crash, and the side window of the driver's seat was shattered!

A few dried hands simultaneously reached into the car window and grabbed for Zhou Rong.

Zhou Rong dodged to the side, and Si Nan cooperated in time, shooting several zombies from his side. "Where's the safe haven?"
