General Zheng immediately held his breath, but without a word, Chuncao swiftly lifted her skirt, drawing a curved knife from the sheath strapped to her thigh.

"No..."

General Zheng hadn't finished uttering the word "no" when he was forcefully pushed back. Jean's knife was coming down from above, and it was heavily blocked by Chuncao's curved blade. The metal produced a sharp, ear-piercing sound upon impact.

"You little girl," Jean said coldly.

Chuncao didn't hesitate and retorted, "Old woman."

Jean didn't respond.

The two blades met, sparking a flurry of strikes that resembled a rain of pear blossoms. The cold and sharp light was blinding, making the approaching patrol soldiers involuntarily retreat, intimidated by the spectacle.

"What are you all trying to do?" The situation was clearly spiraling out of control. General Zheng fired a blank shot into the air and shouted, "Stop! Colonel Zhou!"

Chuncao's dagger sliced down, and blood sprayed from under her collarbone. However, her hand holding the dagger was seized by Chuncao with a loud bang. Jean was sent flying with a forceful kick from Chuncao, and she spewed blood from her mouth!

"Colonel..." General Zheng began.

"Major," Zhou Rong interrupted, blocking Romuel in front of him. While the atmosphere was tense and volatile, his voice remained strangely calming as he said, "Don't get it wrong, General."

"An underdeveloped little brat," Jean wiped away the blood from her mouth and grumbled, "Who are you calling an old woman?"

Chuncao said nothing, grinning and flexing her finger joints with a crisp sound. She swiftly lunged forward!

The previous kick had made Jean realize that this girl's muscles and bones were more like those of a steel tank than a human. She caught Chuncao's incoming punch, feeling like she had caught a heavy and unyielding iron ball. The punch was so powerful that it caused her arm to arch back sharply, with her scapula making a crunching sound.

"Damn it!" Jean cursed and turned to throw Chuncao over her shoulder. She attempted to stab her with the dagger.

In an instant, there was a deafening metallic clash as Chuncao's curved blade forcefully met the dagger's tip. Then, with a graceful backward flip, she slid out from under Jean's feet. In a lightning-fast move, she kicked the dagger out of Jean's hand with her toe!

This entire sequence took less than half a second, and even the closest patrol soldiers had trouble reacting. The dagger whizzed past them and lodged deep into a tree trunk.

Unable to dodge the attack, Jean found herself pinned down by Chuncao, her legs in a scissor hold around her neck. They were face to face at close range, and Chuncao raised her head from the ground and taunted, "Who's underdeveloped?"

Jean's blue eyes rapidly reddened as blood vessels swelled, and her lips curved into a spasmodic, cold smile.

In the next moment, she grabbed Chuncao's ankle from beneath her neck. Her hand and finger bones protruded as she thrust her ten nails, painted with bright red nail polish, deep into Chuncao's flesh. Blood flowed down the girl's legs, and, astonishingly, she began trembling as she gradually spread Chuncao's scissor hold apart!

"Do you think," Jean hoarsely said, "that you'll never grow old, you brat?"

Chuncao suddenly rolled over on the spot, and Jean's punch struck the ground beside her. Romuel coldly said, "Your people will face disciplinary action, Captain Zhou."
