The following morning, Zhou Rong woke up with a splitting headache - the bio-vehicle was nowhere to be seen.

He paced around the open space with his gun, shouting, "Si Nan!"

"Si Nan, get out here now, no time for jokes, hurry up!!"

The sound of an engine grew closer, and the bio-vehicle slowly approached from the other end of the street, stopping in front of an infuriated Zhou Rong. The window rolled down, and the dashboard was piled with powdered milk, candy, and dehydrated cakes. Si Nan, carrying a submachine gun, held a jar of honey in one hand and was eating, causing his cheeks to blush slightly.

Zhou Rong noticed the black and red dried blood on his shoulder, which clearly indicated he had just robbed a supermarket single-handedly. Zhou Rong exploded:

"Going AWOL! Disregarding discipline! Comrade Si Nan, if you were a formal team member, I'd beat you up right now! Did you not consider the consequences of disappearing without notice?!"

Si Nan stared coldly at him.

"What are you looking at?! If you refuse to follow orders, then I'll..."

Zhou Rong was about to continue scolding when suddenly, Si Nan threw two cigarettes at him. He quickly rolled up the window and drove onto the main road.

"Hey! You idiot!" Zhou Rong was hit squarely by two Soft Zhonghua cigarettes and shouted angrily as he jumped around behind the vehicle.

Si Nan was genuinely angry.

Zhou Rong finally ended his scavenging trip, pocketing the two cigarettes, and drove the front vehicle with a gloomy expression. The two vehicles, one in front and one behind, left the B city via the expressway. They returned to the suburban industrial park shortly before nightfall, and suddenly, the bio-vehicle sped up, making a turn into the backyard of a fertilizer factory.

Were they going separate ways?

Zhou Rong turned the wheel sharply to catch up, trailing behind Si Nan. A few minutes later, the bio-vehicle suddenly stopped at the back door of the factory, and Si Nan got out, carrying some food. He jumped down and quickly climbed over the surrounding wall.

Zhou Rong asked Chun Cao to watch the car, and he stealthily followed. With a running start, he leaped onto the wall and then climbed up a ginkgo tree behind the wall. He watched Si Nan's movements covertly.

Si Nan moved straight ahead, heading towards an abandoned truck garage surrounded by weeds.

A slender figure was squatting in the open space under the window at the back of the garage. When she heard footsteps, she turned around, welcoming him with great joy.

It was Wu Xinyan.

At such a distance, Zhou Rong couldn't hear what they were saying. He watched for a while and felt a strange discomfort in his heart. He took a deep breath.

What was he fantasizing about? He self-mockingly thought.

He clearly belongs to a Beta Rights Advocacy Association. If He doesn't have any hostility towards Alphas, that's already good enough. What more could he hope for? Moreover, with his looks and skills, in this post-apocalyptic world, there must be countless young girls willing to come forward.

Zhou Rong's throat felt a little sore, and he scratched his neck with a branch before jumping down from the wall. He went out the back door.

"Back?" Feng Wentai couldn't believe it.

Zhou Rong's men nodded.

Feng Wentai rushed out of the door and almost ran down the stairs, arriving at the front yard of the factory. More than ten people had already gathered in the open space, all survivors who had fled from T city with the special forces. Feng's three Alpha bodyguards sat at another small table not far away, each of them carrying a gun at their waists. In front of them were white rice with four side dishes, both meat and vegetables, along with two bottles of beer.
