"He's running a bit of a fever, but his breathing and heartbeat are normal." Ning Yu opened Zhou Rong's eyelids and checked. His voice carried a restrained quiver, and it was hard to tell whether it was shock or excitement. "This is the first successful case of recovery after being infected with the new virus. It's... it's incredibly lucky."

Other than luck, there really were no words to describe the current situation. Ning Yu looked at the unconscious Zhou Rong, then at Yan Hao. Suddenly, he felt a sense of absurdity: Aren't the luck of these special forces a bit too good? With a one percent or even one in a thousand chance, they managed to encounter it twice in a row?

Or does the antibody have very strict requirements regarding the recipient's genetic factors?

Si Nan stood up, holding Zhou Rong's head, and remained silent. He rarely displayed intense emotions in front of others, and this brief hug was already his limit. Then he took a deep breath and lifted his head, saying, "I need to take Zhou Rong to the helicopter."

Ning Yu nodded but hadn't said anything when suddenly, Yan Hao walked forward, half-kneeling and spreading his hand.

In his hand was the test tube containing the primary antibodies.

"I'm leaving," Yan Hao said, looking down at the ground but addressing Si Nan. "Take Rong-ge back to the base, and keep this."

"Where are you going?"

"To the front lines. Chun Cao and the others are still there, and I need to assist them in their retreat."

Si Nan calmly said, "You can't leave."

Yan Hao was taken aback, but Si Nan pointed below the rooftop.

In the pitch-black night, the ground was constantly churning and surging, with a deafening roar. When viewed through night vision goggles, it was clear that the zombies had gathered into a black wave at some point. The jeep they had driven there was now a small boat floating in the raging sea.

Unless they had a vehicle-mounted rocket launcher, it was impossible to break through this sea of blood.

Yan Hao's expression changed slightly, and he said after a moment, "I thought you'd prefer me to die down there."

"Not at all."

Yan Hao glanced back, and Si Nan's madness and determination had already passed. He now had a somewhat unnatural indifference in his expression. "You can't make it out alone. Dr. Ning, take Zhou Rong onto the helicopter. I'll cooperate with Si Nan to make our way downstairs and drive to the front to find Chun Cao and Guo Weixiang. Chen Yajing should already be arranging the evacuation. After getting in the car, we'll meet at the harbor."

Yan Hao grabbed Si Nan's hand without thinking. "No!"

Ning Yu scolded him forcefully, "Having antibodies doesn't mean you won't die. What if the zombies tear you apart?"

Si Nan dismantled Yan Hao's fingers gripping his wrist, raised an eyebrow, and asked, "Do you have another plan, or should the four of us try to squeeze into the helicopter together?"

No one could provide an answer.

The risk of squeezing three people into a two-person cabin was already very high, and with Yan Hao's and Zhou Rong's weight, as two male Alpha individuals, it would almost certainly cause the helicopter to crash within two hundred meters.

Yan Hao hesitated, and Si Nan gave him the last magazine. "Keep going!"

Yan Hao grabbed the magazine, and as he raised his hand to load it, Si Nan said, "Look out for yourself!"
