The soldiers had already been instructed by Tang Hao to pretend they couldn't see and stood silently with their rifles not far away.

Romuel scrutinized Si Nan for a moment and then suddenly said, "I know so little about you."

Si Nan remained silent.

"Although we grew up together from childhood... no, I should say we grew up in the same house. But I deliberately ignored your existence until I went to college, so by the time I tried to remember what you were like as a teenager, there was no clear impression left." Romuel seemed to find it amusing, saying, "I never knew you were so dedicated and persistent in matters of the heart."

Si Nan asked, "Is that strange?"

Romuel said, "Not strange, but it's just like your mother. The power of blood is indeed strong."

The plane moved slowly on the runway, producing a deafening roar. Romuel and Si Nan stood facing each other, just a step apart, with the South China Sea's wind whistling through the ocean currents and the aircraft carrier, piercing between the two of them.

"I'm leaving," Romuel asked, "Did you come all this way just to show off how dedicated and enduring you are in matters of the heart?"

Si Nan replied coldly, "Where is my mother buried?"

Romuel was somewhat surprised but then smiled, "I thought you didn't care at all. You didn't even attend her funeral."

Si Nan stood with his arms crossed, not answering.

Romuel asked, "Where do you think I buried her?"

Si Nan remained silent.

"Because of your mother, I used to dislike Omegas. These creatures are like... how should I put it? The singing of mermaids on the sea, beautiful, melodious, full of deadly allure. Knowing that following their song leads to certain death, countless Alphas still willingly become the followers of these weak and helpless creatures, like fools rushing in, eagerly becoming servants to these feeble beings."

Si Nan asked, "Are you talking about your father?"

Romuel didn't mind the sarcasm in Si Nan's words and continued, "So when I was in my teens, I made up my mind to find a Beta as a future partner, so as not to repeat the absurd tragedy of my father."

Si Nan said, "But with your plan to select superior genetics through a secondary antibody, Beta genes are probably heading towards extinction, right?"

Romuel shrugged, "I changed my mind after seeing you at the White Eagle Base. But even if I hadn't, it wouldn't have mattered. Do you think it would affect my political views?"

Si Nan shook his head with a smirk.

"So, after your mother's death," Romuel continued, "my father was heartbroken, to the point where he lost his confidence. He buried her in the family cemetery, hoping to be buried alongside her a hundred years later..."

Si Nan asked, "But I didn't see her grave in your family cemetery."

"That's right," Romuel said. "That's because after my father's death, I moved her away and buried my mother there."

If Romuel had said, "I cremated her" or "I threw her out to feed the dogs," Si Nan would definitely not have let him get on the plane. However, his next words weren't that; he looked at Si Nan and said with a smile, "Guess where I moved her to?"

Si Nan squinted his eyes.

"Hey!" A pilot ran over from the helipad, pointing at his watch and urging, "It's time! Hey!"
