The General's Office.

Zheng Xie put down the photo, and although his aging features had toughened, his expression remained emotionless. "Never seen him."

As he placed the photo on the office desk, it revealed a young Asian man of medium height, with a lean physique. He was dressed in gray and white urban camouflage and wore pilot sunglasses. He stood with his hands behind his back, silently gazing at the ceiling.

Only a small portion of his face was visible, hidden behind the lenses. His lips had been sunburned by the harsh sun, showing signs of peeling, but their shape was remarkably beautiful. The corners of his lips were naturally downturned, without any curve, as though they had never turned upward in his lifetime.

So, Zheng Xie's words were not a lie. He indeed had never seen Omega Colonel Zhou like this.

A white man with deep golden hair and azure irises sat on the opposite side, his ten fingers interlocked on the desk. He responded with a hint of mockery, "Oh, really? In that case, my brother is probably in dire straits."

Zheng Xie said, "Yes. I feel very sorry for the loss and hope his family can find solace."

"It's alright. I've already confessed to you about his dangerous nature. People like him might not die so easily in this apocalypse, but they are more likely to bring disaster to those around them."

Zheng Xie hesitated for a moment before responding. The white man had already taken back the photo and was preparing to leave.

"Wait!" Zheng Xie stood up abruptly. "Colonel Romuel!"

Romuel stopped in his tracks, and Zheng LaoJeang's voice came from behind, "Where are you going?"

"Back to my country."

Zheng Xie instinctively asked, "How are you planning to go back?"

Romuel turned his head slightly and said, "That's my problem."

General Zheng's eyes reflected the chiseled face of this American, and it was clear that Romuel had outperformed him in terms of presence.

Romuel was too confident, indicating that he undoubtedly held some hidden cards.

General Zheng squinted his eyes and quickly pondered. Romuel once again walked toward the office door.

"Hold on!" General Zheng blurted out, then paused before saying, "I can agree to your conditions, Colonel. But you must also tell me why your country is searching for this person. Is it related to the vaccine?"

Unexpectedly, Romuel was completely straightforward and responded directly, "Yes."

This direct answer caught General Zheng off guard.

Romuel unbuttoned the third button of his shirt, revealing his robust chest. Three long, purplish-brown scars crossed it.

"Two days ago," he said coldly, "my men urgently administered the last Level 2 serum antibody to me. After the wounds healed, your search and rescue teams found us. This serum antibody is the one my brother left at the Florida laboratory before he defected."

General Zheng was greatly surprised. "Level 2... antibody?"

Downstairs in the courtyard.

Abbas lit a cigarette, sat on the steps, and checked his watch.

3:15.

Romuel had been upstairs for forty minutes, and the female Alpha, Jean, who had been waiting with him, had grown impatient and walked away.
