Bang!

The bullet hit the zombie's head, wrapped in bandages, and sent a cloud of dust flying.

Bang!

The zombie staggered but continued to move forward.

Ten meters, five meters, three meters.

Si Nan fired three shots, then threw the empty Type 64 pistol aside, exhaling hot, blood-soaked breath, and delivered a punch to the zombie's temple!

In dire situations, people often unleash astonishing strength. Si Nan's powerful punch could rival that of a professional boxer and struck the zombie's forehead without holding back.

If this were a human head, it would have cracked by now. However, this zombie, who had emerged from a coffin, only tilted its head slightly and grabbed Si Nan, tossing him aside.

With a series of clattering crashes, Si Nan's body flew more than ten meters and crashed into a wall. He fell on a pile of equipment, and glass and metal shards covered the floor.

Si Nan muttered a curse in silence, and his eyeballs were bloodshot, making it hard to see clearly. In his blurry vision, he could see the zombie approaching step by step.

The zombie's entire body was wrapped in thick, yellowish bandages, resembling a mummy, completely concealing its facial features, with only bloody teeth visible. Although its movements were not very agile, it didn't have the stiffness of the typical zombies found outside. On the contrary, it possessed unimaginable strength, and even direct headshots with bullets did no harm.

Si Nan shook his head slowly, wondering what this creature was.

Inside the circular underground testing chamber, apart from the powered-down elevator, there was nothing to climb on. Was he going to die here today?

The zombie was getting closer, and Si Nan struggled to get up. In his haste, he noticed a row of glass tubes about the thickness of his fingers underneath him. Most of them were crushed, and half of his body was covered in crimson fluid, resembling blood.

He had no time to ponder what this was. He dodged the iron claws swinging down from the zombie and swiftly moved to the side.

"Aow!"

Surprisingly, the zombie was faster in its actions than he had anticipated. It grabbed his leg and pulled him back. Si Nan was in a miserable state, but luckily, when he kicked, his strength was greater than when he punched. He managed to break free just before the zombie bit into him and immediately got up to run forward.

He couldn't escape the testing chamber, so he had to run around the circular alloy wall, with the zombie relentlessly chasing him. Several times, Si Nan felt his clothes being hooked, but in the nick of time, he managed to break free. He used large instruments to evade the zombie's pursuit.

The zombie, after all, was not a living person. In the complex environment of the equipment, it wasn't very agile. There was a series of clattering noises as it smashed into countless machines. In the dim light, one chasing and one evading, they ran around the football field-sized testing chamber seven or eight times.

Si Nan was truly reaching his limits, and in the end, he was almost running and coughing up blood at the same time. Suddenly, he tripped over a cable that had come out of nowhere and fell.

The zombie stepped on and crushed an iron chair, and its putrid breath was right behind him.

Si Nan drew his dagger, and like a silent fish in the air, his body turned boneless and rolled over, placing the blade against the zombie's throat.
