Half an hour later, inside a military helicopter:

"The civilians have been evacuated to the dock, and headquarters has been informed to dispatch a ship for rescue. Additionally, we rescued three members of the 118 Special Forces, belonging to the 6th platoon, with the following names..."

"I know," Tang Hao interrupted the report from his subordinate through the earpiece. He glanced back, and in the dimly lit cabin, a sturdy figure sat on the floor, cradling the head of the person in their lap.

He chuckled, "I have two members from the 118th Brigade here, and one is a major."

Tang Hao took off his earpiece and signaled for his subordinates to continue flying the helicopter. He walked towards the cabin.

Zhou Rong leaned against the cabin wall, closing his eyes slightly to rest. The shadows from the light cast a layer of shade over his strong brows and straight nose. His military shirt was stained with blood, revealing the contours of his muscles.

Si Nan, in his arms, had already received urgent treatment and was breathing oxygen. A military medic was administering the last drop of medication via an IV. Seeing Tang Hao approach, the medic got up and saluted.

"What is it?" Tang Hao asked.

"It's a sedative with suppressive effects. Otherwise, the blood loss could be too much, and we're afraid Omega pheromones would agitate the soldiers," the medic explained.

Tang Hao nodded and gestured for the medic to leave.

"How's the situation?" Zhou Rong asked, his voice hoarse.

Tang Hao had to retract his leg that he was about to kick Zhou Rong. He looked down at Zhou Rong's bloodshot eyes from above.

"This is beyond your clearance, Major."

Zhou Rong seemed unfazed. "How about my people?"

Tang Hao clicked his tongue and rolled up his pant leg. He squatted on the floor and stared into Zhou Rong's eyes, which were tinged with blood.

"Your 118th people," he inquired with interest, "Why do they all have such strong willpower, like cockroaches?"

Zhou Rong responded nonchalantly, "Because the ones without strong willpower are already dead. I have a team member's ashes in my bag, they sacrificed themselves during a mission in the B Military District underground laboratory. Do you want to see it?"

Tang Hao was immediately moved. "You went to the B Military District underground laboratory?"

Zhou Rong casually raised an eyebrow. "You found something there? Why did the B Military District fall? Did you discover any data or research results?"

"That's beyond your clearance, Colonel," Zhou Rong said.

Tang Hao closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and, after three seconds, opened his eyes. "Let's make a deal, Zhou. You answer one of my questions, and I'll answer one of yours. A fair trade. Do you accept or not?"

Zhou Rong regarded him with interest.

"The survivors' base's defenses were breached by the zombies, but thankfully, our armed helicopters arrived just in time. Heavy firepower covered most of the evacuations, and a military ship will soon arrive at the port to pick them up. Currently, it's impossible to account for the survivors, but your three team members, Yang Chuncao, Guo Weixiang, and Ding Shi, have been rescued and are on another aircraft."

Suddenly, a tired voice came from the side, "What about Chen Yajing?"

Tang Hao turned his head to see Ning Yu, who was ignoring the medic's efforts to keep him lying down and was sitting up with great effort.
