I fell asleep sometime during the night. Nightmares about the wedding haunted me the entire time. I've spent every moment awake trying to break free. But so far the tries have been fruitless.

I strain against the ropes. I pull as hard as I can but soon the ropes start to cut into my skin and I have to stop.

I take deep breaths to help calm me down. But I am nowhere near calm. The only image in mind is Tris. She would never have done this by choice. Eric must've threatened her or something to get her to agree to it.

If my assumptions are right then I have to stop her before it's too late.

I try freeing one of my hands but it's useless. Eric did a good job when he was tying them. I wonder if Eric did something to Evelyn too because she didn't come back all night. Maybe she did when I was asleep and found the door locked.

I run all sorts of theories through my head but what I keep coming back to is Tris.

I think of her voice and the way her cheeks moved when she smiled. Her lips on mine were the best thing. I can't believe it's all gone.

I hear a key turn and Evelyn walks in.

"What happened to you?" She asks.

"Eric." I simply reply.

"Oh, Tobias! I'm really sorry." She says.

"Where were you last night?" I ask her.

"You know Dauntless weddings. And being the mother, the people wouldn't let me go."

"But..." I start to speak but cuts in. "I know. I didn't stay there by choice. I was forced to by all the people."

She walks behind me and starts loosening the rope.

"What time is it?"

"The wedding starts in about ten minutes." She replies, still at work.

"What?!" I exclaim.

I twist around to see how the ropes were coming off. She manages to free one of my hands when a voice makes her stop.

"Well, well, well. What do you think you're doing?" Marcus asks.

"What does it look like?" I ask in reply.

"It looks like you're getting ready to crash a wedding." He says.

"What are you doing here?" Evelyn asks all of a sudden.

"Checking on him." He says pointing at me. "And I did not expect to have to deal with you too."

Evelyn comes to stand in front of me and I start working on my other hand.

I hear her say. "He's my son. If you want to get to him, you'll have to go through me first."

I turn around to look at Marcus, who has an amused expression on his face. He clicks his tongue and says. "It's funny that you of all people think that you can fight me."

Evelyn laughs humorlessly. "I think so because I've already done that once. Remember?"

The image of Marcus hunched over in pain when she kicked him rushes through my mind. I smile to myself as I start loosening the rope again.

I hear a grunt of pain and look up to find Evelyn holding her shoulder. Marcus throws another punch. This time she ducks and instead of hitting her, he hits the wall.

He lets out a manly scream and holds his injured hand. Taking advantage she starts to attack. I finally manage to get the ropes off and stand up. A wonderful sensation fills my legs as the blood starts to flow through them.

I look over at her to check if she needs help.  She has him on the floor and kicks him in the stomach before turning to me.

"I'll hold him off. Go get your girl, Tobias."

She says with a wink.

So many of you commented on the previous chapter and told me your predictions. I loved reading them! The excited me! I don't know why, but they just did.

If you have any confusions, they'll be cleared in the next chapter which I'll hopefully put up tomorrow.

Thank you for all you reads, votes and comments! :)
