I tried to get out of bed in panic, but Jin held me back.
"Calm down... we can't leave Jungkook alone, you know he needs to feel us with him to undergo the transformation unharmed," he reminded me of my duty. The fear of not being able to save the dragon, of making my promise worthless, consumed me.
"Blood... we'll give him more of our blood... it's risky, maybe the transformation will fail and we'll have to repeat it, but... we have no other choice... if it works, he will transform immediately," I pondered... should we take the risk? If we did nothing, the dragon would die... Jungkook would just go through the transformation again if it went wrong. The scale clearly tipped in favor of saving the dragon.
"Let him bite your wrist, that's the fastest way," I instructed Jin, and he held his arm directly in front of Jungkook's lips. To stimulate him a bit, I opened Jungkook's mouth and used his fangs to cut Jin's skin, which fully emerged at the taste of blood and pierced into Jin's delicate flesh. He drank greedily; Jin let him take as much as he needed until he himself felt a little dizzy, but that would pass quickly. Then it was my turn; I did the same, and once again, the fairy was almost unstoppable. He would become one of the strongest vampires ever turned, almost like a born vampire, I could feel it. After a while, I withdrew my hand; my head was spinning from all the happiness hormones he triggered in me, but this time, the worry for my dragon kept me from falling too deep into an emotional chaos.
"Yah... what..." Jin jumped up in shock as Jungkook was surrounded by an intense fairy glow. It shimmered so brightly in my room that it was almost impossible to see through. The fairy continued murmuring to himself as his beautiful light blue wings wrapped around him, and all the fairy dust gathered around him, flying towards him and surrounding him like a cocoon. With wide eyes, we marveled at the impressive spectacle before the dust dissolved within seconds, and Jungkook opened his eyes. They glowed in a dangerous shade of red, while his wings had also changed color; they were as black as the night, as black as his hair that had previously shimmered in a light golden tone. He looked so unreal, so beautiful, Jin and I sat in silent admiration beside him.
"Wow... why didn't anyone tell me that my senses would become so heightened? I feel like I was blind and deaf before, but now I'm healed..." his voice sounded so young before, now it was a few shades deeper... incredibly sexy...
"How are you feeling? Are you fit enough to save the dragon?" Jin asked him now.
I'm fit as a lumberjack... and I know where the dragon is. I can lead you," he said, jumping out of bed and underestimating his new powers, hitting his head on the arched ceiling. "Ouch... oh man... I didn't mean to jump that high," he complained, which made me smile despite my concern.
"Alright, let's go. We need to get the horses and ride," I urged for haste. We quickly got dressed and made our way to the stable, grabbing weapons from the armory along the way. Jin took two daggers and tucked them into the holsters on his belt, Jungkook grabbed throwing stars, and I took a whip with nails at the end... we would teach those bastards to fear us.
As we saddled the horses, Jungkook cleared his throat. "You know... I saw something else... The Elven Queen carries her heir... in 25 years, we can bring him to us," he said.
