Jin's POV

I quickly dealt with the wolf, its lifeless body lying at my feet, slashed open from the belly to the throat by my daggers as it lunged towards me. Just as I was about to head up the mountain, I saw Jungkook flying down, carefully holding a red egg in his hands. He landed right in front of me and handed me the precious dragon egg that seemed to glow from within.

"You guard this egg, I need to go back up. There's another one there, and we don't know which one is the right one," he said, already taking off again. Carefully, I crossed over the border into our hidden forest, concealed behind the barrier so that our enemies couldn't detect the egg anymore. I sat down on the mossy ground and leaned my back against a tree trunk as I examined the egg closely.

Its surface was rough, more like a stone, and its color was a warm, radiant red that reminded me of sitting in front of a fire with closed eyes, feeling its glow through my eyelids. I could sense the heat inside; the little dragon seemed eager to burst out of its shell as it wiggled and rumbled within, a sure sign that the creature inside was working its way out.

Jungkook didn't reappear as quickly as I had hoped. I would have preferred to go up there and support my queen instead of guarding dragon eggs here... While lost in my thoughts, the egg suddenly cracked, emitting an unpleasant crunching sound in my ears.

"Oh... you're in a hurry, little one... I didn't expect you to be so quick," I mused feverishly, trying to figure out how we would transport a freshly hatched dragon. It would surely escape from us... weren't dragons slippery? Disgusted by the thought, I grimaced but eagerly awaited what awaited me.

More cracks appeared, and the glow intensified as the egg shattered, revealing a small red dragon sitting in the broken shell, staring at me curiously.

"Mama?" it skeptically asked, and I quickly shook my head.

"No... what the hell... why would you think that?" I replied, horrified that it could already speak.

"But, who are you then? Shouldn't my mom be waiting for me?" he said and started pushing away the eggshell with his claws until he sat on my lap, without the shell pieces between us.

"Do I look like a dragon to you?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"No... do you know how you look?" he countered.

"How?" I asked.

"Like my mother," did that creature just grin?

"I'm not your mother, I'm not a dragon, and I'm not a woman," I complained.

"Maybe you're my father, and I'm not a dragon but a chicken... an egg is an egg," the little one giggled.

"So now I'm a rooster or something?" I asked, annoyed.

"Well, you sure cluck like one," he said and then curled up on my lap, making himself comfortable. Astonished, I looked at the freshly hatched creature that was casually roasting me here.

"Mamaaaaaa... pet me," he pouted, and reluctantly, I did it because I didn't know how he would feel, but when I realized how smooth and soft his scales were, I cuddled the incredibly cute dragon against my chest and gently stroked him. I don't know why, but I couldn't be mad at him; it was as if he had enchanted me. He purred contentedly and rubbed his little head against me before falling asleep. Well, now I had a child...

Y/N POV

With my whip, I had already struck and decapitated the third wolf as soon as it leaped over the rocks, but now there were more of them, and four fully grown Lycans surrounded me and the blue egg. They ignored the green one; apparently, they weren't interested in female eggs. Jungkook flew back again, and although the wolves didn't attack the dragon girl, I still worried.

"Jungkook, fly the green egg to the other peak over there. It's too treacherous for them to reach the little one there. I'll defend the blue one for now," I instructed him, and like lightning, he snatched the egg and brought it to safety. The blue egg started glowing brighter and one of the wolves growled as it took a step towards it. My whip snapped onto its snout, and one of the nails got stuck in it, causing it to whimper in protest while another wolf tried to sneak up behind me. With a quick motion, I pulled back the whip and let it hiss behind me. The wolf's belly was wrapped up without me even needing to look. Once again, I raised the whip and flung it off the mountain.

"You filthy mutts..." I exclaimed angrily as two wolves jumped at me, trying to distract me while the one with the hole in its snout attempted to sneak towards the egg...
