Our eyes met and I saw him frown. His face turned dismissive when he saw Hoseok put his arm around my shoulder to push me forward a little.
"Taehyungie... look, I found a pretty elf girl in the forest. Isn't she cute?" his disarming smile made even the prince weak and his features softened. He didn't seem very pleased by my presence, but all the more so by that of the witch next to me.
"You can't just bring anyone you find, Hoseokie hyung... what if she's an assassin and wants to kidnap me?" Taehyung asked and my eyes widened.... What?
"Taehyung, don't be ridiculous, look at those dimples, how is she supposed to hurt anyone? She doesn't look the least bit dangerous." the older one started giggling... if only he knew.
"If she annoys me, you turn her into a toad." the prince demanded sulkily and I looked at him indignantly.
"And if he annoys me, you'll turn him into a vineyard snail," I countered, pulling a face.
"You do realize you'll just end up as something? So far, no spell has worked the way I planned it," he said, amused, while Taehyung and I glared at each other. Great, what kind of arrogant elf was that? He was supposed to be one of my companions? He was beautiful, but I didn't like him, where could you exchange companions?
"You don't have an older brother, do you?" I asked Taehyung, who gave me an irritated look.
"No, I'm an only child." he explained.
"So, spoiled brat, I can tell." I commented snidely and his eyes widened.
"How do you talk to your prince? You should get down on your knees and beg for forgiveness." He was really starting to get on my nerves.
"Pfff... I'll let you wipe my chambers when we tie the knot." I muttered, but with his elven ears he heard what I said.
"You don't think I'd marry you... I'm not marrying an elf found in the forest... I only marry royal blood." he explained condescendingly.
"If you don't shut up right now, you won't have any royal blood left," I hissed between clenched teeth. Hoseok's amused look passed back and forth between us and he covered his mouth to keep from laughing out loud.
"Tae... she's really perfect for you, not someone who powders the path before you step on it." he said and then giggled because he got the same evil look from both of us.
"For your information... I am of older royal blood than you comrade pointy ear." I was now looking down at him the same way he was looking down at me.... ok, I was smaller, but it was the principle that counted.
"What did you call me, you stupid lying ear? No elf, except one related to me, can be royalty." he scolded.
"Do I perhaps have ears as long as yours? I am of mixed blood, in my land I am a queen." I informed him and he laughed at me dirty.
"Dreamlands don't count." he said and I was about to let my eyes glow when Hoseok took both our hands.
"Let's find out," he said and winked. I felt sick when I realized that he wanted to conjure us into my land. That would ruin my plan to kidnap the prince in five years' time, and I had to put up with the pain in the ass already.
"No...." I tried to stop it, hoping he'd accidentally transport us somewhere else, but when I looked around, we were standing in my castle... in Mingi and Jackson's bedroom, where the naked Jackson was kneeling in front of Mingi in dragon form... He was wearing nothing but a collar and apparently didn't see us, because he was barking at his companion.
"Woof woof woof..." we looked at each other and pressed our lips together, for the first time, the elf prince and I were of one mind as we burst out laughing at the same time...
