"My lady... where are you going? Don't sneak out alone..." I heard Jin's voice behind me. I was about to set off for the elven forest, as I had done so many times in the last 20 years, I wanted to watch him, scout out the castle in the trees, for the day when we would take him with us. The elven prince, the day before his coronation. If things went the way they always did with the elves, that would be in five years, until then I wanted to make friends with some elves there inconspicuously. My elf blood was weak but still there, my vampire blood was undetectable to them, they didn't know what I was mixed with, so they claimed I was half witch and had no powers. They believed me, but didn't trust me for a long time. But after this long time, I was accepted and could go in and out without living with them. As a half-witch, who was known to like living alone, this didn't arouse any suspicion.

"Jinnie... I can't take you with me, I'm going back inside..." I said softly, turning to him and kissing him lovingly. So much had changed since we'd gotten Jungkook and Namjoon, our interactions were no longer cold and dismissive... Of course we teased each other and I still sent him around the castle to get things for me, you couldn't get rid of all habits right away, but he had always liked to do it before... and sighed dramatically as if I were sending him to the guillotine.

"Can I at least ride with you to the edge of the forest? The other two are still asleep, Namjoon took poor Kookie half the night... they're so exhausted. I'm wide awake and bored on my own," he said sulkily and I giggled. Dragons were insatiable, we had all learned that in a pleasant way, because he needed sex almost every night and we didn't always do it all together, sometimes he grabbed one of us and literally lit a fire under our... or in our asses. But who wanted to complain?

"Mingi will fly me to the border, I'll walk there, I don't always want to have to hide the horse." I explained and he gave me another hug before he gave in and went back to the bedroom and when I turned around, I saw him bite the sleeping dragon on the upper arm, whereupon he woke up and buried Jin under him to punish him for his cheekiness... the lucky one...

"Noona... come jump on my back." Mingi shouted, who had jumped onto the balcony... From the courtyard, four stories up and in human form at that. He was always so informal with me, not addressing me like a ruler, instead like a big sister, which I always let him get away with because he was actually more like a brother to me. He was family and that's why he had such a soft spot in my heart.

"Mingi, you're not even in dragon form, what am I supposed to do on your back?" I shouted laughing, but he just lifted me up and sat me on his shoulder, then turned with me on top of him and I had a dragon neck under me. I giggled because his scales, which had suddenly appeared, tickled.

"Yah you idiot... I'll lock you in the cellar one day... you can roast rats there." I threatened him, which he replied with a rumbling dragon laugh. He flew me over my land... at least the hidden part that still belonged to me and then dropped me off at the border. He bowed before taking off and flying away again. I walked through the protective dome and brushed my hair back so that my pointed ears could be seen, wearing my hair like all elves, visible to others. The tree castle soon came into view, I was hoping my friend Eldrin would help me get into the castle garden today so I could see the prince up close, when I was torn from my thoughts as a rabbit hopping by turned into a grass snake before my eyes.

"Blimey... why can't I manage that... Toad... you're supposed to become a toad..." someone scolded. Astonished, I turned to him and he smiled apologetically at me.

"I'm sorry, beautiful elf... I didn't mean to frighten you... but I'm not quite familiar with my powers yet and need to practice on my own..." he explained. I was shocked by the sight of him... until now I thought my companions were the most beautiful creatures that walked under the sun... but he... he... he was... so incredibly beautiful... I couldn't take my eyes off him...
